Damn looks liek you guys missed the perfect day to race yesterday, it didn't rain until 3PM at gimli, in the morning there was a guy with a civic who got 25 runs in, in the first hour. There was a total of maybe 25 cars racing by the end of the day, you could run as much as you wanted

Nah nothing to interesting, Rob ran his Shelby Charger and ran a couple 11.4's, there were a couple 90's civics running 15's and a RHD RX7 that ran a 13.3@109MPH. Other than that it was just a few muscle cars, it was dead, but I have a feeling the next test and tune will be the same, it seems June is always like that.

Was trying to install my MRZ door sills today but was coming into a little problem. Seems like when they made the car they put on the rubber not that straight, so when I try and place the door sill above it, there is a pretty big gap in between the door sill and the rubber originally there. Any suggestions on how to make it flush? thanks guys!

My car took a new GT500 Mustang last night on main...but after shutting down my grille flew off my car and almost hit him hahahaha. Now that was wierd

 

K I have no Idea how that happened. Grille flying off? WOW. Hopefully that wont happen again. not really making a good rep for cobalts that way.

and they only come supercharged... there is a shelby GT which is not supercharged.. but all GT-500's are supercharged

the shelby GT only has 20 or so more ponies than a regular GT i think..

and i tried to have fun with that Roush mustang from alberta if anyone else saw it.. obviously i would lose.. but he didn't want to have any fun.

LOL I have an aftermarket grille and there is a piece that clips in on the front...since the paint was wet from repainting it I didnt get all the clips in and it flew off lol. So now it needs re painting again lol. It surprisingly wasnt much damage.

It was some kid maybe 17 that was prolly driving his daddys car. It was from a 60 roll. And it I think it might of been just a Shelby GT but it did have the GT500 decals down the bottom. I beat him then when my grille flew off he turned around when I turned around to pick it up and he and his 17 year old girlfriends where laughing. I could care less. He lost the race....i really dont think he knew how to drive because i dont know if he droped gears or what but i pulled on him in high 2nd then it was even 2 car lead the whole way down.

I should carry the camera around but Tamara put it somewhere and I cant find it lol.

Well, gave the ol' dealership a call today. They can get my in for a diagnostic this Wednesday.

But, a few things I can speculate at this point are it seems like the blower is leaking oil. When I was taking the intake off today I found wet unburned oil inside the outlet of the intake pipe, right where it connected to the blower. I could also see oil on the inlet of the blower itself.

So, if there is oil in the intake, it's pretty clear there is oil getting into the engine, and that would explain the burning oil smell when I get on the gas. Also, after putting the factory airbox back on, you can reaaaaaaally hear the grinding sound very clearly. I'm thinking I might try to get it on video so you guys can all hear it before it goes into the shop :P
