well im out for calgary...everyone seemed to be bailing and i don't feel like driving out there to meet people i don't know (if we had a bigger turnout i would have gone...)...ive already spent the money so theres no turning back for me....sorry guys...

 

The oil in the supercharger is normal. Unless its a EXCESSIVE amount. Its coming frm the valve cover breather. Install a catch can and your problems are solved. As for the grinding....all roots style chargers are "loud" and sound like rock tumblers. See what the dealership tells you and if they cant help you out i got a supercharger sitting in my closet ill let go for real cheap.

Maybe the charger is just low on oil?? They they dont take that much at all.

Well, then that basically does it for me. You still going was the only reason I was trying to get the car working again for the 26th. If you aren't going, then there is no point in me even trying to go. Maybe next year? And we'll make sure I'm not in charge so it actually gets planned out!

That could be the case. But, I did find somewhat of a "puddle" of oil in the intake pipe. It was collecting there, and it seemed quite abnormal. I don't know that much about superchargers though, so it might not be a problem. As for the sound. It's a very high pitched almost screeching like sound, not anything like rocks tumbling.

What he said ryan. you losing any boost? if it were that bad I would have expected it to pack up already. when bearing go bad they go bad in a hurry. Hopefully they take it apart for a full inspection. the end rotor bearings could be your problem. then it would equate to a complete rebuild or new SC. new SC is the best way to go. then buy the TVS and sell your new warrantied SC or just put it on the shelf untill you get rid of the car.
