Deader than dead...
So who is going down to Fargo for Perfect 10 in August? They also have a test n tune the next day. Looks like it is gonna be a big show.
I'm pretty sure I'll be going, (I'll stay the weekend).

Yah lets see who is all going, I usually stay at the Holiday Inn.. it's decent and cheap and really close to west acres as well.
Maybe we should start a thread... to keep this slightly organized

GM now has a mandatory PCM flash read which must be performed by any dealer when a vehicle is brought in for Powertrain related warranty work. The document (it's on the board somewhere, search if you wanna read it) indicates that if an aftermarket tune is found, all Powertrain hardware fault is void.
It wasn't until a few months ago that GM had the ability to check this. There is a 'flash counter' in the PCM which indicates the number of times the PCM has been written to. Each GM flash has a different software version number, which the dealer is suposed to compare against what is on file as the current flash version. It has been proven that HPT flashes report a different software version then the factory GM one...
Long story short... putting on a Turbo or a Blower won't directly void your warranty... but if you ever have engine problems, and they see that they are on it.. they'll screw you around to no end.

Well done on Silver, that was an extremely even match all the way through.

Wes, about the stage 2 flash, the tech told me to flash it with a proper flash because GM has no way of telling that we changed it since HPT only changes what is within the flash so it will look like I have stock.
With what Ryan says, they now have a way to tell if anything has been changed from stock. So I am pretty sure I would be putting stock pulley/belt and injectors back on and paying for them to update my flash (since it overwrites the current modded one) After all that I would consider trying to get warranty. however my car is running great (needs new filter though!) the only warranty work I need done is for the rattle in the steering (ryan had fixed last month on his) and possibly to put the cap back on my shifter (however the shifter feels better without it I find).

The Manager basically told me they've been tossing up two different approaches... The first being rip the car appart until they find something wrong with it.. or alternatively do as much research as they can before they even take the car from me. Obviously they would prefer to do the latter, being the least costly of the two. He also indicated that unless they know exactly where to look for the issue, I may be without the car for a few weeks while they work on it...
