I dunno if I'll be making it out now. My check engine light decided to come on earlier today.. and not sure what caused it. It came on last week, lasted the whole day (after the big rain storm we got) then it went away.

Now it came on again, so it has gotten me a bit worried, I want to drive it less.. I know I need an oil change, I'm about 2 months past due, but don't have the extra cash to afford one : /

Could the oil cause the check engine light??

Get Ryan to read to code with his interceptor - I think you will have to park REALLY close together, lol. I am guessing P0171.

If you can find software to capture it to a video, then you can use videora to change it to mp4. If its an actual podcast, search itunes for it.

Same behaviour I was having....
Starts somewhere around here:

Anyway, I'd get it scanned. If the intake just went on, it is likely the P0171 code. Could be a leak with the intake connections. Could be ethanol in your fuel. Could be other stuff. Could simply be that someone / dealer *shudders* needs to relfash your ECU with the updated flash to allow for intakes.

maybe the problem but it is not solved till you get rid of it.

Yeah swing arm would be effective but I dont think I want to do that. converting back and forth would be a pain. would be cool to cruise with it though just to be different.

AKIRA? I will have to look that up.

EDIT - just noticed that the bike has to be loud. OPEN HEADER.

Very loud. guy launched very hard each time with both wheels firmly planted on the gound to run 9.7-9.9s all day. With a strong head wind it was pretty insane. Trapping at 144-146mph all day. Considering the bike is lenghtened doesn't look like he lost very much top end and if anything the better launch is getting him to top speed faster for what the acceleration permits in a 1/4 mile.

There was also a brand new dodge challenger SRT8. Looked like he was babying it off the line but his traps never changed 98MPH. First few runs were 14.4 then down to 13.8s.

The best part of the day is I seem to have 2nd degree burns on my nose as it started to blister the same night. Burnt my right shoulder where the camera strap was not protecting. Also my forehead feels pretty awesome. Suprisingly my cheeks seems ok and my ears are good!

Sounds like the monitor tan didn't protect you all that well.
