No not yet, I just ordered the stage 2 from crate engine depot, it shipped on friday so i'll have that installed just in time for spring.

the other thing i was looking at is the k&n typhoon intake, but it says in the instructions to convert it to a short ram intake in "inclement weather" and in winter.. but i'm not a mechanic so i don't understand why i would have to do that if the air filter is enclosed in front of the wheel well. or i guess water may still get in maybe?

i'm in the maples, and my gf is in east k and i work downtown, so that triangle is pretty much where i stay in maybe everyone is in the south end.

As far as the intake goes, I'd say you would be OK with it the way it is. Adding a hydro shield would be better, because water gets in between the headlight and bumper cover. But unless you plan on hitting any deep puddles, you should be alright. IMO.

I see, i googled it and I found injen hydro sheilds, i'll have to get one of those otherwise i'd be a little paranoid..

anyways, i looked again at the k&n and it comes with a "dry charger" which goes over the air filter, i can't tell from the picture and it doesn't say but maybe this is their name for a hydro shield?

Check with Ryan and Dayne, but I think so.

I fully recommend the K&N Typhoon, I know Dane would as well, and I'm sure Richard is on board with the idea too .

Mine came with a hydra shield, or whatever K&N calls it. It's a "bag" that goes over the filter that stops water from getting onto it. I've run mine all winter and haven't had any issues. Mind you, I haven't looked at it, and probably won't until it's dry enough to put my rims back on.

Yea i don't think i can go near that low, i understand people are getting them for real cheap on ebay. I paid $220 in ealry Jan/08. They're almostmnew! the guy is in WPG who i bought them from and he offers 18 month warranty which ebay won't offer, plus they're bi xenon which are quite a bit mroe pricey.

oh yea JP, that black RX-8 you had a run with, the plate is HIOFICR not 4CEDFOR. I had a little chat with him at buggy bath on friday, nice guy.

I understand you're a student etc. but i really cannot sell them under $150, i had a buyer for $160. If you wanna buy new for under $150 on ebay that's cool, but it's just not worth it for me to sell for anyless. I might as well just order new bulbs for $40 and use the Relay and Ballasts and run them on Halos.

bixenon has hi and low beam hid. Not the biggest deal but they're more expensive then the avg. hid, esp off ebay. Plus when some asshat hi-beams you you can hi-beam him back with hid's, that was my biggest regret with low beam hids on my spec v.

Hey Pillar, what brand are your bi-xenons? I really want some, but all the ones I've tracked down through this site, people say they didn't work.
