so in a random thread ....snagglepuss (my new nickname for cc08) tried to argue iwth me that a cobalt sport is the same as a cobalt SS (obviously the same, but he keeps calling his sport a SS, thats ******* ricer) so he insists on messaging me....i obivously try to ignore him at first...here goes

they are both the EXACT same car with different names. that means absolutely NOTHING. so calling it ss or sport it dont matter its still the same car like cobalt and g5 but of course theyre 2 diff car comps so some changes but again SAME CARS
SS_RY not only says your a ***, he also says if you wanted a SS you should have bought a SS
and i agree with him.
*sigh* i'm not retyping so go to general cobalt and search for the topic why did you buy a 2.4 and that explains why i dont have a nice shiney new 2008 ss/tc.

cliffnotes: salesman said they don't make ss's anymore only sports so me-cobalt sport then i find this place and find out they're coming out with ss/tc and i wanted a new car not a used car so thats why i dont have a ss/sc and i didnt do research cause i went in the dealer to buy a malibu but came out with a cobalt instead sooo no i didnt do reasearch and yes i wish i did but like i said i was intending on buying the malibu but the cobalt was much nicer. and i still stick to you can still call a sport an ss cause its the exact same car as 2007 ss so it makes NO difference. you just cant accept it. And DON'T even try to say poser read page 3 second to last post in appearance on the topic ss/sc lip kit on my LS. That will pwnt your poser theory as well. So finally in conclusion me- right and you- + anyone else that argues this issue wrong. like i said before the EXACT same car with 2 different names means ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. all it means is it can be EITHER OR. no one would ever know it's a 2008 sport unless they know its a 2008 sport. Other wise it looks JUST like a 2007 2.4 SS. So me= WIN

what does your vehicle say on your insurence? i bet it says Cobalt Sport. guess what mine says, Cobalt SS

why? if anything they should of named it sport to begin with but GM-fail. But since they did the name change now its too late and means nothing. A 2008 sport is a 2007 2.4 SS with some upgrades.

According to the Factory Specs, the SS's were rated at 173hp while the Sports are 171hp. A lot of people mix that up too. The going reason seems to be a more restrictive header on the new ones

Yeah, JP, it's huge. But I've never been to your store (inside), so I really can't compare :-( But it is right next to the Princess Auto, haha, so it's a graet place to go and "guy shop"
