i read one comment and lol'd
"Ban sports cars. No one 'needs' a car that goes any faster than 110km/h and their excessive fuel consumption is wasteful. Engine horsepower should be limited to a reasonable, conservative amount (like 100). Ban nitrous oxide, hood scoops, and spoilers of all kinds--these are racing accessories and have no legitimate civilian purpose. Car accidents kill thousands of people a year, and the rights of a few race car nuts doesn't justify the cost to society. Professional race car drivers could go through an extensive qualification process to own race cars, but they are should not be available to regular citizens. I personally don't own any cars so I don't see why anyone else would want to own one either. Racing sports cars are simply excessively dangerous indulgences that should be banned."

yes street racing kills. but so does speeding, so does reckless driving, **** sometimes people just make mistakes and kill somone.
these two people are at fault here...no questions...
in my opinion, street racing under controled conditions wether it be the track or a road where there is NO potental traffic is fine.
obviously these rules were not followed by these teens.
the appropiate way to take it is to charge them with manslaughter, because they where not out to kill or had any intentions to kill...much like if a mother was on her phone talking to her children and ran a stop sign crashing into a man in a corvette and killing him.
but im sure they would see that in a different light right?
the justice system is so fucked up in this country and so are so many of the people in this country /endrant.

Funny (not haha funny) thing is, since all of this "the street racers are killing everyone" panic a few days ago, 7 OTHER pedestrians have been hit by NORMAL COMMUTERS. Plus, I have personally driven past 2 multi-vehicle accidents where the cars were completely destroyed and all occupants sent to hospital. The first one a car flipped into a ditch at highway speed, and the other was a head on collision with a 3rd car somehow involved, damage spanning about 100 meters.
Yeah Saskatoon, it's JUST the street racers, suuuuure.
