And hey the blood for halloween is an awesome idea I think i might have to do that

Only bad part is my car is still technically not 100% sold lol. Still waiting for GM to say "approved" for the guy whos taking it over.

Ingalls, WOT BOX and this shud be enough to bring it down to 14.0 -14.2

EDIT/P.S: I got about 7 runs in for the day and the 7th was my best, I dialed in as 14.72 and hit 14.54 but I beat the mustang to the finish line so HA!
and a intake...

why does everyone undercut their mods when they run the 1/4 mile on here???

lol, probably cause an intake doesn't really do anything except sound nice i'd honestly say maybe it adds 1 HP,

the K&N stickesr themselves actually add more

nooo mike, on a N/A car its probly around there, but on a supercharged or turbocharged car they add way more, close to 5-10 hp (obviously not whp)

your adding lungs to your car, making it breath better.

anyways, guy at waverly was out to lunch, wanted to give me 11 for my car with all the parts, said thats what they are worth at auction. so i told him to give me the rx-8 at the auction price and he didnt reply.

no worries tho, my friend kirk is the service manager (for 100 years at both vikar stores) and my friend taylor (old high school friend/red river classmate) uncle owns waverly mitsu...so ill hopefully get some good numbers..

the rx-8 is sweet...fully loaded, 40,000 kms...leather/orange seaude....reaaaly nice

and 6 speed ...zoom zoom

yah i researched the rx-8 today a bit... with a turbo kit they put out 300 whp and run 13.5 (motortrend tested an aftermarket turbo setup) @ 9 psi on a stock motor

seems not bad, but even the new cobalt would still smoke it with a tune it seems,

and the g-reddy turbo kit is 5,000 for the rx-8

greddy went out of business....clearence much?

mind you, that is a car magazine setting up a turbo, they usally dont aftermarket tune then nor do bolt ons.

with bolt ons (exhaust) really wakes em up.

i cant see you getting a 12's car out of a rx-8 without alot of work, regardless...they will smoke any cobalt when it comes to the track. not to mention the sex appeal they bring to the table

greddy went bankrupt... not out of business... they will restructure and still be around, or maybe with a name change.. happens all the time. companies still operate while they are bankrupt, they just have protection from creditors etc while they restructure their debt and balance sheet.... SO... no clearance and yah i went accounting on your ass lol. i'm a nerd.

but the kit came with a new tune and bigger injectors and boltons

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...specialty_file

but thats also an 06 rx-8 so the new ones are probably more powerful

yeah no but what i am saying is, even with a hanh turbo kit you get a shitty "can" tune, put that sucker up to a tuning system with bolt ons..

aswell, if it was a auto its FTL, they get like 200 whp

you know what your right and thank you for reminding me! The Intake does alot for performance, do not let ANYONE say it doesnt... "oh it doesnt add HP" **** it if it DOESNT it has AMAZING throttle response.. noticably diffrent from stock intake.

helps your car breath, specially with stage 2, drawing in "colder" more compressed air is key.

No one is undercutting anything... a K&N drop in filter is not an intake...

A friend of mine had a black '05 RX8 from new to 80,000kms. I thought his car was sick, he didn't agree. He had the blacked out RX8, black wheels, dark tint, carbon fiber hood, absolutely dropped on coilovers. He did basic boltons and he said the car felt no difference, he claimed the rotary didn't respond well to mods at all. A turbo kit will obviously be much, much different.

He said every fill he'd have to add a 1/4 of oil, @ 70,000kms he needed a new transmission. Apparently his catback ran over $1,200 too. He sold it and now has a Red Mazda 3 Speed, black wheels dropped.

What i gathered from him, his car was too slow for daily driver, he'd have to wind it up 5,000rpms untill he started making decent power.

But Wes had a drop-in, therefore Wes had no intake mod...

Maj actually has a K&N CAI, so he has an intake,

but i don't know who had what on during what runs etc...

JP I dont know why you forget. I finished 06 with 13.9. I had the following.

drop in K&N, GMS2, Car was shaved no wing, Raptor shiftlight and Sportlines. that was it. I ran stock pulley too. I tried the Bwoody bars but sold them right away.

In '07 I did the exhaust, 60's, 2.8 and 2.6" pulley, HPTUNERS, WB. thats it.

so no undercut my friend. fact is a fact and I STILL HAVE SLIPS.

RX8 is a sweet handling car from what I can see. never drove one. I really was looking into getting one. I still like that car. I heard one hit 8,000 rpm underload and it sounded sweet like a bike.

that red c5 convert w/supercharger broke.
there was that dude with the black ss/tc we see at a&w, hung out with him for a while. he didnt race but cool guy.
some dude cat-walked his bike at the line right on top of himself.
somebodys car grenaded at the end of the track, like an hour clean up.
the cheeseburgers were terrific!

there you go. thats what happened at gimli. i think its tim to start saving for a clutch/flywheel, and traction mods. and a driver mod BIG TIME
sigh...apparently some people cant see through the smoke.

i was simply saying that "14.7 is very respectable for gms2 and a intake" which here at our track it is. i was simply trying to make andy feel better about his times.

way to go ********, way to turn it into a e-pissing match

My times increased with the intake (probably due to my driving). Recorded lowest runs were done with GMS2 and drop-in.

There is no e-peen match going on here. At least not from my side of the story, I don't know what you're trying to prove. You're just making claims on what I have done with MY car... I'm simply correcting you on your miss-information. Nothing more.
