ship it to menkes, go onto winnipeghights.com, there are lots of guys there who will pic it up for u when they get their stuff and bring it to the city, probably for free. or just email where ever ur buying it from and tell them to ship it usps, no brokrage fee there.

Yea, I played with the idea of doing that. Decided against it just because I didnt see it as being really worth it for only saving $30. I just received an LC-1 & XD-16 from summit and on that I saved nearly $100(from what I could have got it for locally). My buddy got a few gauges and he went down and cleared customs for us. I also just ordered an LNF TOB, Clutch pipe, and the new timing chain tensioner all from gmpartsdirect.. Those things will be sent to a very good friend of mine that moved to orlando, then he will ship them here. When all is said and done I will have got all 3 of those items cheaper then it would have cost just to get the LNF TOB here. The dealers here charge $213 for the LNF TOB, and if you know someone in one of the parts departments you can get it for $153. Its only costing me $121 canadian to get them from gmpartsdirect!

think it would be just easier to buy the front ss/sc lip from gmpartsdirect instead of trying to find one here?

The only thing with them is that they will not deliver to Canada. I dont think they deliver to American P.O boxes either.

If this is the part # for the lip (12336084) it is $209 on gmpartsdirect. You can always call Pavel at Gauthier pont parts dept.. Just tell him you're from CSS.net.. He'll give you the best price you'll find it for at any of the dealers here. Have you tried calling all the wreckers in the city?

That sounds like one of Gauthier Pontiac's sooper dooper G5's.. They did that to a few brand new G5's a few years ago. There was one in their showroom that sounds exactly the same as the one you just described.
