Ontario E-Test with no Cat

Sorry if this has been posted, but is it possible to pass etest with no cat. Can an HP Tune place the ECU in a state that reads "ready." Is there anything else that i should be concerned about.

Does anyone know of place to get a zzp or equiv downpipe in toronto area that wont kill me on shipping and a HP tune. ive seen adds on kijiji for a place in kitchener called darkknight tuning. are they any good?

You cant use hptuners to make the computer ready, but you can use this device called an o2 defouler. Google it

Personally i have not because where im registered does not require testing. But i know others who have had success using it.

Also sometimes with a high flow cat, you still have to use the defouler.

ok thanks for your help.
one method around would be to swap back to stock cat but that would also require changing back to stock tune i presume

not necessarily. as long as you dont drive it too hard or keep it on for longer than you need to it should be fine to test with the stock downpipe on.

Yes, you can.

I did it on my 3800 swapped Sunfire, passed etest without any issue. (Ontario, Canada)
