I had a late night also (Montreal) so couldn't quite make it Sunday. Sounds like you had a good time! If we do this Saturday I can meet anytime, if we do it Sunday I can only make it in the afternoon like 2ish... Isn't it fun organizing... hehehee!

 

Sunday for 2ish won't work as I have to drive up sunday AM then hang for a few hours and head back

Drive to Ottawa on Friday night, come Autocrossing all day Saturday (I SWEAR youll love it), then Sunday, around 2ish, we cruise, and you leave hahah Just playing...dont work around me.

I'm not sure if anyone beat the GSR...I know around 3:30, once the sun finally came out and warmed up the pavement, someone got a new FTD, and it was an MCO guy, everyone cheered loud..but I'm not sure after that. I'll let you know once the results are up, they said hopefully have them posted tonight. Also big thanks for the compliments. I love my Redline. You have a pretty nice SS though, Chris is almost as good. haha no offense chris but S/C owns N/A...haha I think next year we'll start an autocross Ottawa thread. I'll keep all my addiction in there and won't leak it into other threads.

 

No worries about hijacking my thread, the fact we have Ottawa based balt owners talking positively is all that matters. We seem to have went froma cruise on the 13th to a race at Auto X..

As far as my name switch the B with a G and you would have spelled my name perfectly.You were a lot closer than most people thats for sure. Especially to get the "y" etc.

I mailed in my MCO membership and I am going to try and take some of the classes they have, it looks like a lot of fun. Have you taken any classes? Just email me if you want.

I have a question and i'm nott sure where i can post it on this site so i'm gonna ask through this way and see if i get any replies. I've got a Cobalt SS/SC 2007. Its got about 10,000km and i was driving it the other day sorta racing with this tiburon, which suprisingly was keeping up with me. I was on the freeway and decided to push the pedal to the floor. Now i was told that the top speed for this car stock (which is what my car is) 142mph or 227-228kmph. Well i got my car up to 245kmph and then i let off the gas pedal but i swear i could have gone even faster. I was wondering if anyone knew why it got that fast stock. I'm thinking it was tuned differently cuz i had the same car (which i totalled a couple of months back) and it top out at 227kmph. I'm just curious why it can go so fast.

Just remember that in online forums, street racing, and all stories associated with the passtime is rather frowned upon.
On a side note, I have heard that the Redlines are top speed limited at 155mph, drag not PCM. Of course mods will up it a bit as you get more power, but you won't get much high than that, in the Redline.
Autocross, on the 13th at Scotiabank place, last one of the season.
Graydon, there we go, I got it now, I'm excited to race with ya man. Should be a good time. Sucks we couldn't get a cruise going, but theres always spring.

 

Graydon, as the weather is going to be 8*C and rain all day saturday, I have decided I am not going to Race that day. Just giving you a heads up, so you don't get there and I'm a no-show.

I have decided, rather, to go down to montreal with some people from ontariocobaltclub.com, there is a sport compact performance car show at olympic stadium that day. Should be good.
