finally i will stick with my factory lights thx.... hid are a huge waste of money.... dont believe me? just wait til they fail and leave you lightless.....
Disagree. I went thru 3 sets of halogen bulbs in 2 years. I did retrofits in 2009 and not 1 problem. Still on original bulbs and everything and I've put welll over 60,000 km on them. Halogens blowwwww and will leave you stranded if anything. Doesn't help that the cobalt halogens are pathetic. Best thing I've done to my cobalt was the retrofit and if I had to pick between retrofits, TVs or coilovers I would take the retrofits as my best modification to my car

I have top of the line stuff tho. It's all Philips. Granted I paid more for my bulbs than most people pay for their bulbs ballasts and wiring together. You get what you pay for

I live by the saying
Reliable
Performance
Cheap

Pick 2

im gonna guess approx. 60-70 dollars..... i have spent 60 in the last 4-5 yrs in headlights.... however i did spend lil extra to get to this point by searching for the right bulb manu for this car..... i found out i was wasting my money on sylvania's..... everyone of thier products hated this car..... i would blow the passenger side almost every week.... then i started to use putco and or eurolights and for some strange reason they like this car.... now i blow a headlight approx 1 every 2 yrs..... i am a firm believer that gm products have serge issues in the head lights.... in my sunfire everything i have said was the direct opposite......

now i completely agree that hids have a better light projection.... but i have people flashing high beams at me all the time so why do i need brighter bulbs? and yes my headlights are set in the right location, maybe even a lil low...... i guess it is all in what you want.........

if you seen the wire harness i replaced a couple months back you would know there is a serge issue in the headlights.... man it burnt the middle connector pluggy metal thing right up when i noticed.... and yes it was connected right and sealed proper....

when was the last time you drove outside the city at night with lots of traffic going the opposite direction?

When I had normal bulbs in my car truckers wanted to murder me for some reason. One time driving for
Lethbridge to fort Macleod several trucks turned their reverse lights on at me and then finally I got behind one truck with an empty load who tried to run me off the road. He sat in the middle of the 2 lanes, slowed down to about 70 and continued to slow down. At first i moved into the right land to get around him so he cut me off by moving I to the right lane. I backed off a bit then he got back into the middle of the 2 lanes. I had to pass him in the shoulder as when I went left this to pass him. He then jetted over into the left lane. Thank god these cars are decently quick. No doubt in my mind he was trying to run me into the ditch.

i had that happen once to me. bastard turned on his load lights right as i was beside him. then a few km's down the road i had some guy in a tiburon try and high beam me (which doesn't work when you have limo tint) haha, then he was tail gating me for a little while so i dropped it from 5th to 3rd....lets just say he didn't do tail gate me after that.

Funny as when I lived there I asked my managers husband who's a cop about reversing into a parking spot and they were like... Wtf. You can back into a spot.

well the ticket was given to us for 2 reasons....first we were parked more then 12 inches away from the parking block, and the second was because we were backed in. the reasoning for the backed in one was that the cop figured we had to cross a double yellow to park that way. apparently they don't believe people are that good at parking their vehicles.

the RCMP that were called in were saying the local cop was just being a douchebag because it was a slow weekend
