Calgary - random talk thread

ok, I was online earlier and wanted to make some general comments... but my laptop crashed twice (screen went black, and it did nothing!?) - hopefully it's a conflict between my OS (vista??) ang chrome... a program i rarely run - but was running because unlike firefox, it can play videos...
anyway, as my memory serves me there's a huge difference between all the LSJ's that I have been in, or near;
1) Dustins - guys this car was just plain mean... like it made me look like a bone stock 1989 CRX...
ugg.
2) Will's - this car flat out made me giggle, and that was on his initial TVS tune with the 3" pulley... IIRC it had wheel hop (or something very close) from Will tromping on it.
3) Mark's new car (Edward)... post mods. This thing is an absolute blast... but Sorry Mark, I think I still got you.
4) Jon's car... Again, another one of those cars I love - I like the fact that wheels aside he generally appears fairly stock... but much faster than stock (and his mods are all done cleanly with no duct-tape-esque rigging... IIRC Jon you pulled a 14.7 at Castrol on the July long weekend right?
5) Mark's old car "Eddie" (RIP); just a cool ride sporting stuff that no one else did, and some stuff that was done almost in spite of CSS bandwagon-esque recommendations...I believe Eddie's best was a 15.3 @ ??
6) Joel's/Adrian's car... I am flat out bummed that I never got to gauge how that car ran after Joel was done modding it...
My giggling in Mark's car (Edward), was there, but it also might have had to do with the uber-happy guy driving
Any comments about me giggling in a certain silver LNF, were 100% because of the owners enthusiasm... sorry man - you were just too funny!
now going totally off memory;
My car bone stock at race city (2010) pulled a 14.4 @ 98mph;
This past July long, I bested a 13.9 @ 105
I didn't think my car had any lag till I ran with Dustin - who didn't need to convince me persay, but more or less needed to assure me of minimized risk.
None of you should have ever seen me post about being the fastest here, because the higher the pedestal I set myself on - the longer the fall I'll be facing...
Now having the best (Calgary/local) e/t s for sure an ego trip - but it's just because of the puddle size we're in...
I mean, I've really only got one small mod aside from tune...
IIRC Psycho has a faster e/t than me...

It wasn't wheel hop it's a bogging/back firing shitstorm that happens when I'm below 2000 rpm and give it gas. I've changed plugs o2 sensors but I've never been able to shake this problem.

oh, and if this is any sort of 'member' size contest...
I'll bow out with the smallest - and be assured that the only woman in my life who matters probably doesn't give two hoot's if it's to be eternally compared to a turtle head...

everything he has done to his car was subtle and mean..... i doubt this car was a 6 dude.... i am possitive it had a 8.... it sounded like a ws6 with exhaust and if it was a 6 then he has more then a air intake on it.... i dont know, i should know, i have seen him so many times.... this was the first time we went for it tho.... so next time i will remember.... i can tell you he is a maiden fan..... lol
LS- V8 & 6 speed... nice cars for sure... and probably lighter than thd current cars.
the newer V6 cars are dogs - they're in too heavy a vehicle, and iirc they make more hp that torque - which is key with a heavy car...
I believe the hopped up V6 '12(?) camaro at castrol on the july long was only good for low sixteen's...
