@ jon, your car is in good shape, however if you count the hundreds of rock chips on the hood alone.... it kinda reminds me of, you have twin girls....1 with bad acne and right beside her is the other with no zits..... your telling me your hitting on the girl with bad acne?

@ maybe im diff, im sorry but if i spent as much as you have on my motor i would want the paint to look flawless.... hell i have spent a fraction of what you have and i want my paint to look flawless.... maybe its me, i am a perfectionist.... for the price of wrapping a car i am willing to do what i can to save my paint...

oh mark don't get me wrong i love a good looking car. but i never planned on doing anything to this car other than paint. no cf or lips or anything like that. i like the real subtle stuff like the tc grills, the rotors and calipers, bowtie, debadged, matching the tail lights all the same red. things like that. but a paint job was definitely in my plans when i bought the car.

i guess i've just spent enough time at the track where performance comes first, and looks come second. and until the car performs it doesn't matter what it looks like.

lol one day you will realize that a excellent all around package has a niche in the car scene and it belongs... not everyone has the need to be the fastest..... then again if you think about it maybe thats why you both have choosen the darkside of the force and yet i have choosen to be the jedi.... in other words i have respect for a stage 2 just as i would for a lsjt.....

i have also stated i can wrap the roof in gloss black and it would look just like factory.... $400 is better then $1500...

Lol I've put way more into my cars performance and handling than I have into it's looks. All I have is rims, trunk lid, lowered and tint.

And mark, so what if I like hitting on girls with acne? Just means a better chance at scoring! Lol

It's a daily driver and I drive down gravel every month. It's not gonna look like its from the showroom floor

hey i don't have a need to be the fastest. like little man syndrome or something haha. i just care about performance more than i do looks. until my cars perform, i'm not happy with them, no matter what they look like. hell my first lsj was ugly as hell. stock suspension wheel gap galore with the spoiler holes plugged with bolts and rubber washers. but it put down the highest whp/trq that i've seen for a 2.8" on 91octane. unported blower unported head.

This goes back to mine and Marks conversation yesterday.

His car can go fast, and look good. I can see what Mark is saying as his never plays anywhere but the track so he wants it to perform, but I say the racecar can still look good at the track.

oh no nothing about pride. i couldn't care less if someone is faster. or if i'm not the fastest in my club. i don't look down on anyone for wanting a complete package. i've got the suspension to go with the power. i just in my eyes don't see a reason to spend my money on looks when that money could be used to make my car perform how i want it, and then spend money making it look good.

i understand.... i guess its all in your end goals.... and budget.... my budget was no where near yours....

i want you to think about this.... imagine all the effort and thought you have put into performance.... now imagine how much effort it took me too do something to the appearance of my car.... i know all you see is eddy and gay ricer stripes.... what i see is a image that tells a story of my life.... i have incorperated into a package that is appealing to myself and large amount of the general population.... i want to know whats rice about a car that says many things.....

for those who didnt know heres the breakdown to my wrap concept...

1 eddy- for all my life iron maiden has influenced me musically and artistic....
2 the live after death album cover..... its in memorial of my old car.... may i never forget, and i hope it will live forever.... also as a added bonus this new car is actually a rebuilt right off... so it is on its second life too...
3 the canadian and filipno flags and ghosting of leaves and filipino suns throughout the black.... its to pay tribute to my wife and mine heritage.... she deserves this for sticking with me though my accident and helping me back to where i am now... as many here in calgary know it wasnt easy for me to make this recovery.... and to continue to make progress in my recovery.... also as a lesson i have learned from the american people, pride in your nation is a healthy thing....
4 the puzzle pieces........... puzzle pieces are the international symbol for autism.... most of us know but my son jerrette is autistic.... he is my inspiration and hero... this is the one item i care about the most..... as you can understand why....
5 the gay ricer stripes was just a way i could seperate the 2 concepts into a diff version of a 2 tone concept.... btw i actually created them from scratch, i had nothing to go from and copy and i wanted it to be unique....

i know you probally dont care nor am i trying to justify what i do.... i am just saying everything has a reason.... regardless if you agree or not..... im not asking anyone to get crazy like me.... nor am i saying negative things about any ones car... i have my reasons why i choose my path in my build as you have your reasons for choosing your path in your build....

Ah. Dyno numbers don't really mean much. I went to a local dyno with my 2.8", 91 octane, meth and stock exhaust set up. Said I made 301whp/260wtq. Went to another shop and said I made 260whp/226wtq.

to answer your question jon............ i am happy with how my car performs.... there is room for improvement for sure........ will i improve it? hell yes..... in due time..... you all need to accept that performance isnt everything.... and no matter what you say or argue with is never gonna change that statement to be true.....

I meant at the time. Sorry forgot to mention that. That was like 5 years ago lol. But theres a good example mark. More power to to blue if he made higher numbers. Competition is what drives developement forward.

And i never said your car was rice or anything. I like the way it looks. And i love good looking cars as well as performance. But for me i just spend my money on how i want my car to perform first. Then looks. Just like how people do looks first and then performance. Or people who do both at once.

If everybody was the same in how things were done, it would be a pretty boring world.

so... back to that wrap
it was an interesting hue - almost a semi-matt metallic blue;
Mark do you think that was a vinyl that could be ordered, or was it a transparent blue ink over a silver vinyl?

thx mark that was cool of you to say.... to be honest i wasnt pointing my finger at you for saying that.... i just know thats popular believe amonst a number of members from this site.... i wasnt surprised.... look my budget is not very good, and with me being in the industry... i have never followed the trends i like being unque..... is a good reason why i have to put performance on a backburner.... dont get me wrong nothing would make me happier knowing i have the fastest car on a m62.... i would take great pride in that..... unfortunately i just cant afford it at this moment.... who knows maybe one day that may change, it is my goal after all..... i know i could reach those goals alot easier with my friends help as i could help my friends to achieve thier appearance goals...... who better to talk about that subject then to talk to the guy who is maybe the first and still only completely wrapped car on this site....
