it was about big boy pants but you implied later that it was about nitrous. lots of racers think the same way about nitrous that I do. I won't put nitrous on a daily driven car, I won't put myself in that kind of spot if the cops stop me and want to see under my hood for some god knows why reason

You stated that nitrous would make it a more even playing field since you are on the m62 and not upgrading to the tvs. lol

For me it's just stepping up your game. When I popped my motor I could have just thrown a stock one in and called it a day. But I threw on the big boy pants and built a motor haha.

hey im just saying thats how i understand it..... BIG BOY PANTS=no2 and fully meeting your capabilities of hp....... so in my case fully built m62 with no2 thats big boy pants..... jon's case would be fully built lsjt and no2 thats big boy pants..... in blue's case it would be fully bulit tvs with no2 thats big boy pants..... in big bird's case it would be fully built lnf with no2 thats big boy pants...... there is only one common denominator and that is "no2".....

so who gonna put them on with me?

or do i smell chicken?

Personally I'd rather push a motor than push a button. I could go buy a nos set up tomorrow and run it before I even turn the key on my car. But I want to have that power all the time. Not push a button to get it.

im sorry for earlier guys but when individuals from a certain group around these parts ask me to do something and dont show up i get a lil upset....... these favors they ask of me come out of my pocket and my time...... right now their batting avg. sucks *****...... and i am not going to help any of them out anymore...... its just one more reason for me to dislike the group..... i dont care if it is a small job or big you must follow through with your requests..... i know they are reading this.......

All good man. Ya nos doesn't scare me one bit. I run so much water/meth that half my fueling relys on it. No meth, no more motor very quickly. I've almost tapped myself out with the TVS after this build so who knows when I get bored a 50 shot may be the answer lol.

And this war budget you spoke of? It's not a war budget, it's a "make my vehicles burn tires and the environment" budget! Lol

I still doubt it's the maf sensor but I've never had an issue that would point to that

It's just much easier to make big power with a turbo.
it's hard to say in this case.. sure if you take a car that makes 450whp and doesn't spool till 5,500 and only revs to 7,500 the supercharger will win every time. but a properly sized turbo will have the same curve as a blower but with much more area underneath.

again there are so many factors to this debate it's just going to go around in circles. rev limit, spool time, compressor size, turbine exducer, gearing, tire size..

if i only wanted 420whp i would have done the engine totally different. i would have probably used a 51-52mm turbo with a .48 turbine and only revved it to 7000. would pull away from any m62 or tvs car. but i wanted more power so i sacrificed a small amount of spool time for a higher and later peak number but still more than made up for it with the added area under the curve at the end revving to 8,200 and even in the middle of the curve as well it still makes an insane amount of power.

at ~4,500rpms it hit 300whp. but just 1000rpms later it made 450whp. and then for almost a solid 3000 rpms i'm above 450whp. 2000 of which is above 540.
my 273whp m62 car didn't hit that number until about 6,300 rpms. meanwhile the turbo is at 300 already at 4,500... peak trq was at 4.5k and only made 250 while the turbo at 4.5k was making ~310. but then unlike the m62 dropping off trq after 4.5k the turbo climbed to 420ftlbs jsut 1000rpms later and ended just shy of 500. nearly doubling the m62's torque
