Hey everyone, I have a problem that I'm hoping you may be able to help me with. I have an 09 ss/tc that I just put some beamers 8000k hid headlights into, however I'm having trouble with the driver side ballast always crapping out. I have tried removing the DRL fuse and have even bought a second new set and still I have this problem I have 8000k fogs as well and I haven't had any problems with them. Any information would be very helpful, I'm sick of only driving with one headlight!!

So i had a great idea to solve the LNF vs LSJ question. When I get a LSJ I'll throw my stock K04 on it and match Jonathans bolt ons and tune it then run him and see what happens. It'll be the best way to compare because we'll both have the same power adder. What do you guys think?

No I'm not I'm Calgary, I'm in camrose, so I'm not far, I've tried replacing parts, I've even bought a new set and sent the old one back. The longest I've had it running was for 3 weeks. But that was only after I had pulled my DRL fuse!

I've had mine for 3 years or so with just the minor problem. I'm more than happy to help you out if you want to drive here.

Sounds like a waste of time lol. A K04 on a TC will make more power due to it's direct injection.

lol o kevin hahahha. do you know why i say it? its all about variety. lnf's are married to turbos. lsj is able to run everything. there is no true answer to the statement. i will be honest i have gotten a kick out of every lnf owner that has seen it, but i mean nothing by it. maybe once apon a time i was like some of you, but i really couldnt give 2 shyts about it now. sure it would be nice to think my lil m62 is superman but in reality its nothing more then a car.

just know i put alot of work and pride in the things i do. no matter who's car it is. it just happens i spend more time on my own then most. i have nothing to prove nor do i care too. my work speaks for itself.

My thoughts on the "fueling" issue is to pull the spare make a custom tank to fit there and run a stand alone 2nd fuel system 4 injectors with 100% meth! great solution wouldn't matter if we had E85 but we don't

If the LSJ won and was better I'd build that. I'm just a very curious person. If I had an engine dyno I'd dyno everything I could get my hands on.

Great solution as long as your meth doesn't fail. Relying on meth for fueling is a bad idea. Ask me how I know.

well the best place to see your results is zzp's dyno numbers on both types of motors. i believe lsj's still has the bigger number. it really dont matter tho, just enjoy what you have.

My true thoughts are stock vs stock the SS/TC is better more hp and torque, better suspensionn and brakes. But LSJ vs LNF both have their strengths LSJ is better for a big build right now I agree, but 400-500hp or maybe 600 LNF is better?? Just my thoughts

No not a "meth" system a full stand alone stock setup. AEM pump normal pressure injectors and lines. basically an LSJ fuel system running 100% meth on top of the direct inj

V8this is doing that huge LNF build may change things if he gets it going but yes right noe Ryan's LSJ is king

Why wouldn't you just run cams with the extra fuel lobe? So much less bs.

I'm saying for a big build 600+ hp. I don't know what lobe, injectors and 5th are good for on gas. But for the 5th I'd still run my meth idea

1st I'd do cams fuel lobe
2nd opel injectors
3rd 5th injector
4th my crazy idea

I love fabricating that's why I did a V6 swap in my Mazda was a total custom job. I think its boring how cars are all "bolt on" now

Also running the 2nd stand alone fuel system won't steal pressure from the DI system so that's good too

Well I'd have no problems coming out there, but would we actually be able to fix it? I mean I don't want to waste the time driving out there to not get it fixed up!

Electrical is so hard to diagnose with out seeing it. I have done a lot of wiring including stand alone systems on SR20DETs and I've done my own custom truck top to bottom. I can not say for sure but I will do the best I can to help you out and I have the same kit so i do know it
