Btw, stage 3 KY is 700$ for me. Are there any better prices for a good stage three clutch?

I'm currently running a a southbend stg4 plate with a stock disk and it works great. The stg4 disk wore out really fast when I got stuck in an hour of traffic each day

I've heard good and bad things about Southbend. KY is the best deal I've found so far.. Anyone else know where to get a stage 3+ clutch for under 700$?

I would only run southbend or clutch masters myself

Hey guys, new here to Calgary. Lived in Lake Louise for the winter, moved out to Alberta from Ontario. I've seen a couple SS's around town - haven't really chatted with anyone though. I've got a 2009 Black 4dr SS, roof rack, snowboard holder and rally armour - do you guys have meets at all?

Welcome here!
We used to get together almost weekly, but the scene has died down quite a bit;
Our meets started noticeably dying down after the local race track was closed;
Most people who would make it out to any event are in this thread...
Jr = '07 SS/SC; vinyled (so the appearance and predominant colour can change overnight)
KM03 = '10 SS/TC; white
Sylver = '07 SS/SC; silver
me = '09 SS/TC; yellow (coupe)
Many of the others who do, and have posted in this thread have moved on from the cobalt scene.
Saturday night's there is a big meet at the tim horton's parking lot on barlow south;
starting pretty soon, here there is a big cruise in s&s on wednesday nights at the grey eagle casino...
As I am sure you are aware, there are a couple facebook groups, the local one is called 'GM Tuners of Calgary';
I started GMToC after the local Cobalt scene had already started dying down, in the hopes of grouping Cobalt and other GM 'tuners' - since then there were other groups made by GMToC'ers which were a little more 'elite' (eg: boosted cars only) that seemed to further thin out our numbers;
When we would do weekly bs-sesions, it was normally at the tim hortons in deerfoot meadows.
The edmonton group was also started by one of GMToC's members, and that group took off, and has great big meets...
I hope something in this post helps...

And they are all tuned and pretty quick other than Sylver but he has a turbo kit going on soon

If anyone is interested in getting together for a BYOM bbq;
I could go refill the propane tank...
I would like to see more stuff happening this year - I miss the get-together's and camaraderie we used to have...

Having some ppl over to work on the cars tomorrow I'll be firing up the BBQ so if you want stop by!! and maybe some races will take place.
I'm itching to see how much better the actuator will hold boost and what gains are for a car running a stock K04. I'm doing Aaron's car and Paul's so I'll have before and after data on both.

- I did my brakes
- swapped summer rims on (cleaned them before install)
- replaced my serpentine belt (which is a PITA btw, you have to do it from underneath!?!)
- removed the hood bra
- finished of my reverse lock out for the modified shifter
... I debated on swapping on the original trunk, but decided to stay in 'sleeper mode' for time being.
My brakes still had a ton of life left on them, and I'd like to find a place to turn rotors that won't charge you your left nut to do it (AV used to do it for something like $5-10/ea);
My brakes were Raybestos, and they seemed to warp almost right out of the box...
It sure is nice to brake, and not fight a shaking steering wheel (I dread to know what punishment my ball joints ect took)...
It's amazing how when the front pins are not seized, and you have the correct adapter for the rear rotors, that everything goes so smoothly!
I was surprised to see that the OEM brakes:
- the front brake pads are actually Brembo pads; the GM box contained another box, with the Brembo ID sticker 90% covered; the parts are actually Brembo parts(!) ~ I figured that GM would have cheaped out and only used Brembo calipers...
- the front & rear rotors were all from Germany
- the rear pads are from France(!?)
No wonder our brakes are so expensive, not only are they legitimately premium/high quality parts, but they are all from Europe! (most brake parts are from India or Aisa)
