ok sounds good, i dont necessarily need a side job but just want a good shop that does quality work

by the way thanks to who ever gave the idea of putting a gauge in the spot where the trunk button is. It is going to look great when i get it finished ( got it all molded now just needs to be sanded+ painted)

U mean the Racecity? u went and it sucked Im assuming u mean?
Correct Race city was a waste of time I was almost the first car down the track and it was 9:22
No one crashed, there was some wicked huge extensions. These guys were really good Robbie Maddison was there and won. Pretty sure it was fixed like American Idol was.ahah.
but great entertainment.

It's nice that we have a 1/4 mile still in Calgary, but the people who run it are fucked. Aside from the **** quality of the place...
Art Mckenzie is a ****** retard. at least put something on the website or answer the phone.

It was the rally cars They were supposed to have the track untill 8:00 yeah right.

Honestly it would be better to get rid of Race City and have someone else who actually KNOWS what they are doing to open up a new place and actually take care of it.

Word I hear is that this may be a dead horse. Great idea when oil was $100+ and lots of people had lots of $$$$. Tough to sell memberships when the economy is in the tank. Time will tell I guess......

No plans for a drag strip anyways and that seems to be what most of the peeps on this site would want.

I really hope this does go through, looks like a pretty decent layout with the ability to section it into shorter tracks. Don't think I can swing a condo there though

And it's not that far away Pickles, hour and a half from the north side if you stick to the limit....and no one does that out here Well worth it for a day of heel and toe exercises

Seems like it is the Pontiac dealerships that are taking the biggest hit so far...except for the bigger ones like Shaw. I know Shaw is not getting closed because they sent out an email to everyone who has bought a vehicle that they will be losing the Pontiac brand, and the Hummer brand now also....but they are still staying open.

Yeah it sucks, but with GM going through the troubles that they are it was expected that there would be cuts. I am sure though that you will find a new job bro. At least you have lots of time to figure things out.

ya its just a matter of do i want to stay with mechanics or try another field related to cars, maybe professional detailing or maybe a customizing shop. only time will tell i suppose. either way i'm sure i will be fine. just got to tighten the belt with my spending and get some of my little bills paid off before december is all. or win the lottery

lol, detailing doesn't pay enough, that's why i got out of it. however customizing is fun to do, but you take some lumps to get good money. i guess that's like mechanics. well make sure you still go in july. hate to see you miss that because of a small hiccup like that. just so you know it takes a couple of years to make alright money in my field. if you might be interested in.

I know my company isn't hiring. I've been seeing a lot of layoffs in the IT industry, and I'm not sure how easy of a time you would have getting a decent paying gig without experience....
