are you sure about that?

I'm pretty sure they didn't just import that to have it sitting in their used lot.

that car was imported.
Considering we're a couple months away from the end of the 2010 model year (they typically end July), it's feasable that this car was imported;
But that car is no deal - you're in brand new Camaro SS, or encraoching on 'vette territory with that (nearly) two year old car.
I actually know one guy in town here who was pissed that he couldn't buy one ~ because they were never offered up here.

The GXP was not made available in Canada.
If this the 'level 4' package with the LNF was made available in a Pontiac G5 I would have ordered it before they hit the dealers...

Actually you are very very wrong soundjunky. My best friend knows everything about the g8, actually he owns one also. and yes the gxp were offered up here in very limited numbers. hence the $45000 price tag. mind you that they are way ******* better then a camaro becuase they are not built by gm...

Regarding the last part of your quote, you might want to double check your information;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holden
GM is Holden's parent company;
Holden is a subsidiary of GM.
The G8 GXP is most definitely an awesome car!

Okay I like that. They are pretty decent cars mind you that they only have 425hp and are $45k
Naw all the holdens stuff is of way better quality then the stuff they put out here

dude, the build quality is the same between Holden & Chevrolet;
Please don't let your bias get in the way - you will only be short changing yourself.
for comparison this is what a "base" version of the top two teir Camaro's look like (mind you most dealers in town will only order fully loaded 2ss cars);
IMHO, as cool as the G8 GXP is four doors is two too many... but that's my opinion.
You should maybe also look into getting a 2004-2006 Holden Monaro... er, or the imported version of it.
