wow... check out what people in MB are having to put up with!

that's a PR piece with a heavy slant biased towards the cops, but you get a good idea of what's happening...
lets hope one of this happens here..

i think thats a decent idea... but when the fail rate is 54 outta 58 vehicles... i think they are being a little too harsh and are getting greedy to give tickets out

Thanks for the input on the dealers guys. I guess I'll end up going to Shagannapi purely because of their experience.
Oh I have a story about Kentwood Ford too. My Escort ZX2 skipped time (due to the timing belt riding too far out), and it was running rough. The nearby mechanic wouldnt touch it. So I took it to Kentwood Ford. $1000 for parts and labor later, the car ran fine, for about 5 km. Guess what, the timing belt was partially shredded again! I called up Kentwood, and they noticed that I had an aftermarket intake, header, and underdrive pulley, and these could be the culprit! Wow, really? I let them know that they better take a look at whats wrong, otherwise this wouldnt be over. They did take a look, and they said they had installed a faulty tensioner, and they did the whole job again at no cost to me. Nice!
No, 6k later, the timing belt broke again, and the car has since been parted and is en route to the wreckers

changing subjects ever so slightly;
LINK
got this yesterday in the mail - even if it had it's cheezy moments, overall it was pretty cool;
the only thing that kinda pisses me off about this video is that the interior shots of the pre-production 2008 Cobalt SS has the HHR SS air bag - which places an SS crest in place of the bow-tie front and center on the steering wheel;
I really feel these should have been installed, and one day will probably buy one...
I already installed the 'deleted' SS crest above the glove box door...
Does anyone know if the 2008 SS's was ever really "launched" in Canada??
I knew it was coming more than a year before it was launched ~ then (keep in mind i wasn't here) I saw very early in 2008 the Cobalt SS/TC in some gm (behind hte scenes) literature ~ but never heard of it being launched...
I cannot recall ever even seeing a 2008 model year SS!?!?
As I recall the first one I saw was a yellow 2009 that Jack Carter received roughly around November/December 2008...
And even then, they wouldn't make any deals on it, and it appeared to (could have been a second one) stick around till somewhere around fall 2009*
(* = a black one came and went while this one appeared to sit; they moved it around the lot, and in & out of the show room at least a half dozen times.)
I decided this morning to pony-up, and bought the 2005 launch video set too...
LINK
I already have a 2005(?) full sized poster (3'x5'?) of a Rally Yellow SS (pictured with the GMPP wheels);
I bought that last year well before buying my car...
EDIT:
hmm, kinda dead here today huh?
