Argh, what a frustrating day.
Does anyone have a Stage II Belt for sale??? Or an oversize tensioner pulley?? Anything!? GM wants $100 for the belt and it will take who knows how long to get in here.

see I thought I recalled seeing one listed here... or maybe it was by an Edmontonian??
have you done a search, becasue this is purely based on OD/belt width/number of ribs - so you should be able to find one via the aftermarket - it just might take some digging in a parts book to find it ~ it's not like GM to make many one-off parts ~ but it is like them to not show interchange, and charge as though it's one-off.

I'll take an oversized tensioner too. Just need something to get me on the road.
i have an oversized tensionerpulley, but you have to grind things down to make it work with any ovesized tensioner.

I don't care for how sub divided the front page is.
When I go to a site, I like to without clicking on anything specific, be able to scroll down the page to get a feel for what's going on - on that page I cannot do this.
Even if the header is banked/locked at the top of the window, you should be able to scroll down, without having to pull on a slider (or what ever it's called.
I normally have a reduced browser window size, and on that site I see one horizontal, and two vertical sliders...
IMO, that's two too many.
Are you in some way the page developer for that site?

My first impression;

ya i dunno it seems to work fine at differen't resolutions.
at the resolution it was set for of 1440 by 900 its fine obviously. going lower only causes the sponsors and the home page picture need to be scrolled. any higher and everything just goes really small.
hmm jon what exactly needed scrolling and what screen resolution are you running?

why does the bar on the left need to be docked?
could you not just make the bar on the right, as well as the left all be a part of the page, so that is all moves together?
check out HERE - see how the one bar at the top is docked, while the rest scrolls?
in the end, if that's what the customer wants, then there is no point in trying to change their mind...

no i'm making him an alternate page so accomodate it and let him see it before he makes up his mind. and ya i know what you mean about the entire page scrolling.
and there is a big difference in that site to mine. the main difference is that mine is broken up into 4 parts rather then 1, each part acts independently of the others. that is why you get a scroll in each box

makes sense.
...
on a completely unrelated matter, can anyone clue me (a virtual newbie to this scene) in...
I asked the zzp guy for specs on his cams he's testing, he gave two "aproximate" measurements then seemed to get all indignant becasue I was asking to actually know more about the cam grind (I was goign to compare it to other applications to see where it stacked up in the whole mild-to-wild side of things...
I thought zzp was one of the big players?
Do they have a reputation of posting up some teaser info (most of which isn't practically usable to 99% of the membership) - then dropping the ball?
I'm really just trying to understand why so many here seem to blindly clamor to suck up to a person or company when I'm not seeing anything worth while.

crap... I haven't started...
been kinda on the broke side of things, and trying to not rack up debt...
(hence the xbox posts - sitting at home playing xbox is a good way to save money )
I got it pretty good though, I don't have many gifts to buy, and got the 23rd & 24th off...
There's one person I've been wracking my head trying to figure out what to get (I don't go to a mall to decide, I always decide ahead of time) - I got some ideas, but nothing really concrete...
