my buddy who works at cetus bought a program that you can adjust specs and timings to get an estimate HP and torque range from engine modifications. the more info we get the more accurate it is. we're using mine and another buddies vehicle as testing mules. that list is about an 1/8th of the info we should actuallly have. i wish i had a donor 2.4 to pull apart and get the info directly but alas i do not.

basically i'm gonna be doing most of the modifications electronically to see where the best gains are in my motor, before i do them physically

sorry that I couldn't help you out then Steve.

I know I was trying to press for similar info in another thread, and my request repeatedly had it's importance and or relevance completely downplayed... rather "aproximate" numbers were supposed to suffice (it took pulling of teeth to find that the "aproximate" duration was @ .006 iirc)

if you had two measurements, you would be able to figure out the lobes ramp, and deduce the duration at a given point;
eg: normally cam specs provide duration @ .006" as well as duration @ .050"

overall, from my experience, people in this community do not care about this information.

you might want to search Solsitce forums ~ as some of those guys have played with their cars alot more than the average Cobalt ~ and the base Solstice comes with the LE5.

I have found that unless you're talking about tuning, or bolt on parts/kits, or just plain BS'ing, this is probably not the right forum.

There is a black SS at the Murrays in Lethbridge. My sister works there and was in it if anyone was interested. I think Kris was interested in one....

No the only cam that is even remotely close to the 2.4's is the TC's exhaust cam. Other then that there is nothing that will work.

Also in my garage sits diamond pistons with all coatings, zzp connecting rods, and supertech valves. Looking forward to installing it all over the week

sorry, I've always bought the presized rings - and the gap came in just fine...

but if I have a tool you could use, I'm more than willing to share...

mmmmmmmmm i wish i knew about the calender... i would have entered a pic i have of mine... its one of my favorite pictures i have ever seen. like everything else on this site.... its slapped together and half ass done.... nothing like giving plenty of notice and having a vote during the most busiest time of the year.... some of those cars look amazing ie rissa's and yes yours looks good too projekt... but there are some real crappy pics in there.... lack of variety and i know that there are many other members with some real sweet pics...... its a good idea but like i said it is lacking in quality....

hey travis how you doing man? glad to see santa was good to you... all i got was 5 t-shirts and a set of tenzo r lowering springs....

hows everyone? you all have plans for new years? if not your more then welcome over to my house.... we are cooking up some roast beef and watching movies i think.... lol
