I don't need alot of references for it. I am a female and make alot of my own references off this thread alone. A few friends who I've already asked opinions on, and I can go like this...

Okay when you guys think of a girl in the car community what do you think of?
No reference to me and nothing will be taken to offense just what comes to mind?

I would think a woman is either a lesbian, a rich lesbian, a daddy's girl or a red-neck tomboy if a girl is in the car scene.

Is that formal enough?

for the most part girls that are in the community are there because their bf's are there and they generally have no interest in cars. There are exceptions and I personally try and see if the girl knows atleast how to do an oil change and tire rotation

If a girl can prove to me she can atleast do an oil change and tire rotation or knows the difference between N/A, supercharged and turbocharged they have all the right to be there because it shows they have an interest in the community of some sort, now not all woman are mechanically inclined but showing an interest and knowing a little bit is half the battle, hell half the guys out there didn't do half the work to their cars hahaha. Saying that's a cute machine means they are a tag along

For starters I believe girls that get interested in cars are typically quite materialistic. Especially if they drive an aesthetically modified car.

But they usually get involved because of male influence. Either thru a guy she interested in or something like having mostly a male presence in her household. Make presence like handing wrenches to her dad while he worked on his car when she was young or spending a time at racetracks as a child.

If she needs a subject to study I could try an see if my old roommate would donate some of his time. Hahaha. But seriously the guy couldn't setup his bed and had to pay a moving company to come and connect the rails to the headboard and footboard for him. And he wasn't even embarrassed to tell people he had to hire someone for that. He was actually somewhat proud he hired somebody to build it for him. By far the biggest tool I have ever meet
