well then you shut it!

shaw wants something like $65/month for their high speed;
telus is comparable;
bell, I dunno;
rogers, appears to have a couple plans, but you have to sign a contract...

I last had internet here becasue it was a $10/month customer loyalty promo that they phoned me out of the blue to offer;
Prior to that I was splitting internet costs with my brother... but now it's just me...

If I could get cheap dial up I might even go for that...

Does anyone here remember 3web?

Steve;

are you good friends with Rene?

IIRC Nathan told me that he had a catless downpipe for an LNF car;
I will be ordering an aftermarket DP at some point, and prefer to buy local if I have the option - if he's reasonable on pricing... I mean it's not like he's going to be using it any time soon.

I'm sure that the dealer will tell you that the downpipe will void your warranty! lol

shh!

you do know that eventually warranty's end right?

you do know that dealers have been known to void warranty based on a K&N right?

yup. Hence why I never go for warranty if I can fix the problem with a better aftermarket part instead of a weak stock part. and I've never bought a new vehicle so I don't really know much about warranty. I know they try and screw you any chance they get

You do know that I have never previously owned a new vehicle right?

Granted this was the stereotype I had, but so far it's been better than I had expected;
but that's also why I play their game for time being...

When my headlight got smashed, I went aftermarket because they look better and it was about the same price for one

BS.

I am not a betting man, but I'd be willing to bet that I can get a stock headlight cheaper than an aftermarket one;
supply versus demand - there are literally thousands of stock headlights around...

meh. if they don't want to warranty something based on the notion that I put an aftermarket part on my car that they think potentially caused a different part to fail and can't make a valid arguement/point then the don't deserve my business and I just either do the work myself, Have a friend do it for some cash or take it to a small shop. plain and simple.

I had an idea that you always bought used based on what you have said you owned/own

a brand new stock headlight from the dealer? probably around the same price for an aftermarket one

^^^ take my assploded lifters & broken rockers from a couple months ago;
on one hand I have no doubt that I could have done this repair job myself - but I have warranty, and I did nothing which warranted that happening...
now if I had an aftermarket tune, and other supporting parts, I am sure I would have had to fix it myself... but since I'm playing their game, it was fixed at absolutely no charge to myself.

granted brand new for brand new - but why would you insist on buying new?

it's a non-mechanical part, that theoretically will not wear out - and even if the lens is a bit hazed, you can clean them up.

for just about anything other than bearings and head-gaskets, I have at least on one occasion installed used parts for any given job.

the exploding lifters is understandable. you barely broke the car in and it was obviously a factory defect, Short of rebuilding the block and adding a bigger turbo, I don't think there is anything bolt on that could have added more stress to the valvetrain

I hate buying used parts. you don't know what it's been through. it could crap out at any moment. Atleast with new parts you get a little peace of mind knowing that it was never used by someone

sure - it might not be a bolt on persay, but a tunecan do it!

a DP will let if breathe better;
a lightweight flywheel will allow it to wind up faster...

that's why you have to know what you want, know what to look out for, where your break price is for new versus used...

fyi, these days there's ALOT at pick n pull that is grossly overcharged ~ which is why I pretty much never go there.

I always know what I want. brand new. unless it's a discontinued part or rare then you gotta take what you can get. I never look for a deal.

ok.

I've racked up a good bill on amex, but I'm thinking of supporting modern performance pretty quick here...

btw, I'm not going to brow beat anyone... but hey if you could get word out that I'm a trifecta dealer, I'd really appreciate it.
