or maybe they can hear you coming lol.
i have a rant here.
why do people think that anderson road is 60? i swear everytime i go down there, there is a convoy of like4-5 cars taking up all the lanes going 60. IT DRIVES ME NUTS!!! its 4 lanes wide at some points. i cant stand people that cant even do the speed limit. if you dont wanna drive that fast, then dont drive on that road! or at least stay in the right lane. going 20 under the limit is just stupid. whenver i finally get past them i get lots of dirty looks cause i fly by them, doing the speed limit, but to them it looks like im just another 17 year old kid that drives fast and is speeding. /rant

Not in the least! I got stronger axles and rear rotated mount for it and was ready to go back for more. But then this came up and I want an LNF .
I'm going to miss orange so much. I've seen a couple I want to look at, it just sucks that I have to go out of town to even look at a car. (My LSJ was in damn Red Deer).
I've been eyeing up this one 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt SS TURBO COUPE Coupe - Calgary Cars For Sale - Kijiji Calgary Canada..
RPD, LSD, Sunroof etc. Completely stock (don't worry, not for long ).
I liked this one till I saw custom tune. 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt SS TURBO Coupe - Calgary Cars For Sale - Kijiji Calgary Canada.
I want to get GMS1 to retain warranty for a bit.

I'd like to think that these are worth $20k, but I know they're not, so for that guy to try to sell his for a sneeze away from 20 shows he's out of touch;
FYI typically aftermarket parts DO NOT add to the value of a car;
and that one already having a bunch of aftermarket just make it more likely that you would have trouble getting warranty for anything;
Also, that silver car still has 20,000km on the bumper to bumper warranty.
Also the RPD is a neat feature - even if it doesn't show vacuum (the one big shortcoming of the RPD btw) ~ I can also help you wire up a switch that makes it so you can read it in low light situations (the other shortcoming of hte RPD);
I bought mine because of these three factors (in order of importance);
1) Yellow (must have)
2) G85 (must have)
3) RPD (nice to have)
If you do get one and want to go the 2nd ECM route, hit me up
If you want to bomb up here to look at it in person, you can always crash here, if you need any other help, just ask.
Your car looks like you've played with it (and we all know cops will sum up a driver by the car);
it's lowered, with big fancy wheels on it, it's tinted, and now it's got the zippy spoiler back on it...

I used to live in Southwood (behind the Train Station), and stopped counting the number of wrecks I saw on Anderson on the way to work in the mornings...
the trap is normally halfway through the bend from eastbound Anderson going into northbound Deerfoot (I think the limit actually drops just before the bend - but it's been a while since I've been on that road) ~ I've known many people to get tagged there.
The wheels are the same size as the stock wheels. They just have less material and are more shiny. I got the same amount of heat from the cops even when it was stock. They must thunk that silver is the new red color! Lol

1) These are still (in the grand scheme of things) newer cars;
Late model cars are generally driven by an audience with a little more disposable income... more disposable income means higher propensity to paying tickets.
2) These are "sport' compacts;
'Sport' Compacts of late have a rep as a whole of being driven by "kids" who like to speed, or just generally have no respect for the law.
3) Re: highrise / big wheels;
These two items do attract attention - both wanted, and in this case, unwanted.
The high rise for sure does look ricer/racer...
4) re: tint/(obvious) aftermarket parts;
IMHO, this just says to the cops: "Hey! - look at me" ~ and ties back into the negatives of points #1 & #2
5) Re: paint;
Sometimes this is overlooked, but as I've come to understand it, the worst colour coupes to drive (which get the most attention by the cops) probably he to be black and red - both also are the most popular colours of these cars.
... so to all those people who think that they "blend in" to the background because they're all blacked out... right, it just makes the cops more interested in watching you.
If you don't want to get hassled by the cops, drive something that they might write off as being driven by someone who probably has no money, or something that seems "blah" enough to blend into the rest of traffic...
IMHO, some of these cars might be:
- (Nissan) Sentra
- (Toyota) Corrola/Tercel
- (Chevrolet) Cavalier(four door, preferably with some unrepaired damage)
or... wait for it; - (Pontiac) Grand Am
Sorry, I absolutely had to add the last car!

it's the police that collect your hard earned money...
it almost makes the quota system seem that much worse.
The city does it through property (and to a much smaller degree) income taxes.

@ Joel;
BAH-HA-HA!!
I just noticed this! ~ look familiar?
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/cana...-ss-tc-253064/
unfortunately he seems to be a bit confused;
his options are:
IMHO, that's not a "fully loaded" car - fully loaded would mean it has all the options available - depending on when it was ordered, one or both of these options were available;
FYI: the following things came standard (as in no charge) in 2009 Cobalt SS's:
And just an FYI: as Mark came to realize, heated seats were never available to the SS/TC's
It's a nice car, but I don't really care for all the mods... but hey, that's just me

was the "eww" directed at my rough rendering of what I think an OE looking GM "Stage 1" badge might look like?
re: heated seats;
I would think they would be required with leather (becasue it is often cold to the touch), but with soft surface seats (eg: cloth) I'm of the opinion that I can heat the seat myself thank you very much...
That's a nice name
I hope you're good and caught up on your sleep
From what I've learnt, they more or less kick the new mother/child out of the hospital these days unless there were any complications... but sometimes (eg: bad room mate) it's for the best...
When my mom had me & my brothers, they would regularly keep the mom & baby in for about a week.

the typical ones out there mimic the Mopar stage badges, and then I saw this one on that red car;
- and thought that there should be a nice badge for people who like them... something that looks stock...
Do you know what I mean?
My brother has the Mopar badge (C-SRT4 if you've forgotten) ~ and I think it's a nice tasteful part that compliments the (apparently now long discontinued) stage kit he has...
