no problem - hapy to oblige... but first...

from what I've come to understand of late this has been deemed an issue for cars which are not "driven hard" - the ceramic pads we have are probably the best pads bar none that you can get ~ but the drawback is the dust factor - unless you regularly relube the sliders, the dust from the pads will dry out hte sliders and cause them to stick.

@Jordan/Projekt;
I'd encourage you to read the last couple pages of the following thread:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/08-1...7/index25.html

And yes, our OE pads are ceramic - no matter what anyone posts to the contrary...

you'ld be best off arranging to talk with the service manager/assistant service manager to field if they're going to black ball you...

there is a thing on the GM-tech talk (or maybe it was tech-line??) that has a suggested fix, and I am not the only person to have had this work done under the blanket of warranty/dealer-discretionary free service...
when mine was done, they opted against turning the rotors, because there was minimal scarring - I was told the method in similar situation in which they make or break if the rotor gets turned - and the logic given to me seemed sound enough...

ya ceramic pads are great but require alot of heat and aggressive driving to operate correctly. if you don't they will not work correctly and cause problems as well

@ Adrian;
Why would you buy 'ZZP' badges - iirc Joel was complaining about the ZZP tune, ad was looking into other options...

It's a canned tune for sea level, can't fault them for the tune not being perfect for the car; I'm happy with the ZZP intake and HE, and they've been great answering all my questions when I was kinda serious about SC'ing my 2.4. No qualms about putting a ZZP badge on my car.
