I seem to recall it happening this Saturday - and the snowbirds will be there too... just saying

p.s. - Greetings to all from Winnipeg!
ya the snowbirds left on thursday for lethbridge. i may be going down for saturday night and sunday morning.

man that f-16 put on a show. he was going slow his nose was up at a 45 degree angle and was still flying straight, then put it into full afterburner and climbed VERTICALLY 3 milles up into the sky. he also was pulling 9 g turns and flips. the coolest part was when he buzzed the runway at 15 feet going 650 mph

Keep in mind those are replica's.

Google powdercoating calgary to get them done. What color are you looking for?

I'm close to the airport and had a free show of them practicing today. Awesome as always.

That's what the F-18 was doing last year... flying slow as F, then pop, pop, pop, then just nonchalantly fell out of the sky. I was like HOLY ****. Then I saw the pilot ejected and I was like

What was weird that they left the fried wreckage of the F-18 right next to the runway, marked off with tape, and then the airshow started the next day. They need it for the investigation, but that's a great sign to go to a show and there's a destroyed fighter plane with tons of people around it investigating it, next to all the static displays.

ya im not going anymore, gonna go to the stamps game instead.

but the a-10s are doing a demonstration. but the f-16 is like half the size of the f-18 so it actually accelerates when its flying vertical

also the f-16 was so loud, that when it flew by with is afterburner on, my cousin who was standing beside me, yelled "HOLY ****" as loud as he could and i didnt hear him

f-16 afterburn thrust is like 28k, f18 is like 17 x2 so about 35k

I like planes too...
I went and checked out this collection earlier this year;
Home : The Flying Heritage Collection
It was awesome!! ~ totally worth the (roughly) six hours drive time to & from...

but the only Jet fighter that I really like is this one;
‪Me 262 Flys Again!‬‏ - YouTube
the one shown in that video is the first replica built;
it was built as a trainer plane - generally they were a single seat fighter; although many were converted/built to fighter/high speed bomber duty...

I've been the to the Lethbridge air show many times in the past...

I have also taken an inagural flight lesson - which I loved...
I'd actually like to be a pilot, but tehre are typically only two ways of that being feasable;
1) you train via the air force (in which case you need perfect vison to even be considered) - which I didn't have...
2) you need to be a couple income levels higher than myself to be able to afford putting yourself through piloting school...

I have perfect vision, but may not be able to withstand the g's as I grey out at 4g's. But for me that is the dream job. Getting paid a decent amount to fly supersonic and blow **** up

I do, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.

If any of you guys EVER consider getting your license and find you have a passion for it, do it. You only live once. It took me a year and a half to get and cost a lot of money but I've never looked back.

Helicopter school to come soon .

I'd love to be a pilot. I actually though about joining the air force after I got my bachelors degree since I think that's a requirement to becoming a fighter pilot. But i have asthma so I wouldn't be able to

Incorrect,

I've actually been putting a lot of thought into elisting and you don't need to have a degree. The RCAF will put you through school to get one through the ROTP course.

Of course having a previous degree (or to be working towards one) is a huge asset.
