But if they went out of adjustment them all gears or most gears would be affected as well. I can put it into 5th but it kicks out under the slightest load

could be your roll pin, if it went bad it wont let you fully engage a gear, when my roll pin went it acted like that, is your shifter sloppy right now

will do mark. if it's not under warranty which it should be because how does a 5th gear synchro go? plus they think it's my B&M shifter causing it. the just picked up my stock parts which is just the shaft.

I think it's just a cash grab

Well they are finally pulling the tranny. I told they what the problem was but they didn't believe me. Why can't they just listen to what people say? Lol

Jon.;
Where did you bring it?
(please say Shagganappi, please say Shagganappi)

Did you authorize them to pull the transmission? ~ because if they don't warranty it, then they will charge for the R&R at the least...

So I'm thinking of pulling the trigger and buying a SUV for winter and hauling of all my **** and general second vehicle duties. Anybody have any experience with jeep grand Cherokee diesels? 2007 2008. I only care about the diesel ones not the 5.7L or srt 8. Or anybody have any other ideas of a semi big decent fuel economy SUV???

I have heard good things about them. My buddys dad is one of the head mechanics at a GM dealerships in Edmonton and his family has 3 of them. So I guess they can't be that bad...

As gay as this sounds I would consider an x3 since they come in manual.

iirc those Jeeps have the Mercedes Diesel engines - which have incredibly good owner reviews;
I know a couple who is putting off buying because they want new (work/tax write off thing), and can't get one of those...
