Now I know why everyone is getting ride of their lsj. You need a special saab tool to take a gear out of the transmission to completely disassemble it. Also there are no LSJ parts in canada. everything comes out of the usa and they have discontinued many of the parts for the cobalts.
It just got me thinking today when the dealer told me that they are making their own tool to remove the gear because they can not get their hands on that specialty sabb tool.
Just some food for thought for any present LSJ owners

Bolts to hold the supercharger to the intake manifold are discontinued. I was told by the parts chick at southgate. She even showed me the computer screen that said the part number was discontinued
Order everything from us. Haha
Suv will be 1000. Carrier bearing for rear drive shaft shot. I was going to just bring it home to fix but they said they can't even fix and they have to send out to get repaired so thought that would be a bad idea haha

that was a little nick ~ and didn't count
curb rash = 1 or 2 or 3
I call B.S.;
You just found another useless parts person;
odds are the original part number was superseded after the original batch was used up.
Also R&R'ing the gears on an F35 is quite involved and requires a CRAZY amount of force to R&R specific gears off of the mainshaft...
The "SAAB tool" - is actually a J-tool (kit) that they probably don't want to pony-up for...
I've seen the whole F35 rebuild kit on ePay time and again...
FYI: all "J" tools are sold through Kent Moore, the "J" number is a GM designation...
Sorry Steve on the slip up

- A length along the outer rim where the paint has been scratched off from a curb; the aluminum will also be gouged
- A length along one or more spokes where the paints has been scratched off from a curb; the aluminum will also be gouged
- Both #1 & #2

Steve, I hate to say it, but Ive found that most people selling parts from behind a computer screen are not rolling a couple cans short of a full six pack
My pet peeve of late is at dealers them INSISTING on having your vin to be able to look up anything... sheesh....
I mean is inbreeding going rampant these days or something?

I agree with the vin for parts. I tried to find a Gauge cluster for my 90 and they wanted my vin. I want to upgrade to the 91 cluster for the Tach gauge and the needles instead of the moonies but I need a vin.
Another one I find a little disturbing is scanning a car when it comes in. I tell them what needs to be changed and they scanned my car anyways. The only way I could tell was because my Interceptors weren't plugged back in. I don't see why they have to scan the car if they are fixing a specific problem I have brought to their attention

Car needs a new front lip and side skirts. Had a quote for 1400 to get those painted and replaced. Needs a new tire that's going to cost me $247. It needs a new ball joint and alignment. Hopefully that's under 300.
It ain't worth 7. **** it ain't worth 5 FML haha
The other reason I wouldn't sell it is I'd have to de-mod it and I'm wayyyy to lazy to do that.

umm, from what I saw your car was minty.
don't get me wrong Will, I don't mean to knock ya ~ I've got less than two years on my car - I loath to think what the paint will look like in aprox four years
... if I wasn't so ****, I'd totally go for a repaint in this colour;
"Jetstream Blue Metallic"
I was told when I was looking during the 2009 model year, that he (the salesman at Jack Carter to whom I was talking) knew how to get even a cobalt ordered as a special order colour, but those orders went through the Performance Division ~ which had been disbanded aprox a month before said discussion...
I was following a JBM Z06 on Sunday.... man I love that colour.
The only remaining question (should I go that route) would be do I loose the spoiler or keep it!?
(I think I'll make a thread asking for people with photoshop skills do it for me.)
