Lol they want experienced guys but they want people to stay up here. Younger guys usually stay longer than older experienced guys because experienced guys can get a job back home for the same money. And if you want to be a medic out here I'm sure they would hire you. They do hire green guys with their steam tickets!

from what jon told me they want field experience. i've got both my tickets to be able to go up and do that stuff but they all want field experience.
So I'm going to have to inquire about getting some help from Mr. Soundjunky when a part shows up for me. it will require a bit of knowledge with a PROM unit, and no I'm not going to a prom or a dance of some sort! lol

I know. it's a tbi guy out of North carolina. I figured since he's a dedicated TBI/MPI/TPI/MPFI he should know what he's doing. If I want to figure it out myself I'd get moates or get you to help. I think I'll be ditching the TBI in a year or so.
Here's the guy's website TBI CHIPS

(* = memcal is the name GM used for the (?)memory calibration chip assembly which was a small board often specific to the engine/ecm combination that the memcal is intended for, and a single eprom)
if he wrecks his memcal, I can rip the bun off his eprom, but only if it remains undamaged;
If he does have a spare memcal, I recently bought an ultraviolet eprom eraser ~ but most of the chips GM used didn't have the little window - so they were strictly a one time burn chip... and unsoldering them is a bit of a PITA.
And even though I have a proper erasing tool now, I do not yet have the proper burner for the chips GM used... so I would probably need to replace the stock eprom with an eeprom...
err... EPROM with an EEPROM.
hopefully someone followed that...
