a newbie!!
what do you have?
assuming the "2.4" in the name pertains to your car;
- 2006-2007 SS/2.4
- 2008 Sport
Which one?
Kinda looks like arrival blue ~ but I could be mistaken.
Welcome to the Calgary thread none the less... (even if two others here apparently already knew you!)
ok... gotta go to be now...
(anyone who cares, look at the time stamp of this post!)
Just got back in from a great gig tonight!
...being a night-owl I dun-wanna go to bed though

I kinda like the grille on that laser car, though the stock LNF one is still the best.
I'm on my phone so I can't really check butt believe there is a slight difference between this wing and the sedan high rise, there are a couple threads on this forum about it.
It was an option for the SS Sedans at the dealer, is it not this one?

New wheels on the Kia. Drop is next. http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...-42-18_775.jpg
Next year I'll add these skirts and lip: http://www.forteforums.com/forums/at...68067968_n.jpg
And that'll be it probably, except for small things.

(sorry for the next bit Adrian - I'm honestly happy that you got a new car, and that you are enjoying it)
They're still Kia's - which are entry level Korean cars;
Korean cars have a reputaion for being good daily drivers - not for being performance cars...
The closest you get to a 260hp Korean FWD car would be from another Asian company;
the Mazda Speed3;
those cars have a reputation for 'poping' engines on tunes...
The top contender in my books for a cool Asian coupe would be the 'Genisis coupe' - but I would insist on a four banger since it's a DD, and I would want the best mileage possible ~ but as 210hp... it's falling short from the mark.
Worth noting is that the Genisis coupe engine is the same one that the Forte gets ~ but isn't even anyone's 'in house' engine - it's an engine that was a shared development venture between Chrysler, Mitsubishi, and Hyundai...
(it certainly doesn't help that the GC is more money than the CSS was either)
I sat in pretty much all the sport compacts in last years' new car show - and granted some had softer leather seats or what not - nothing interested me even infinitesimally in trading in the Cobalt.
@Steve;
yup it was a gooder indeed... i mean it's not often I go out to begin with ~ so it had better be good

Kia needs to follow suit and get out of that shitty niche market and become a major player. And they could have started with a nice fast forte. Then as those owners grow older and need nice 4 doors and small SUVs they then start introducing higher end 4 doors and SUV's and grow their market share.
