all the guys I knew who were into that scene (and I knew ALOT) are either cleaned up, or in a realllllly bad spot right now, and couldn't even dream of buying a late model car...

different strokes, for different folks right?

dude - if you were so inclined you could rock 15" steelies for winter;
this is a typical rule of thumb;
smaller diameter tires = cheaper
that's to say the following is true;
15" tire $$ < 16" tire $$ < 17" tire $$ < 18" tire $$

It used to be that 17" were quite an oddball size, so the cost of 17" rubber was about on par with 18" ~ but the last time I really looked into it, the cost of even 17" rubber has come down...

None on here besides that DiabeticKripple kid, I hear he has the hookups.

(DiabeticDad (New name for your dad Jordan) if you read this I'm joking).

On the note of tires, I've NEVER understood why tires for bigger rim sizes (less rubber!) are more expensive.

I think it's the cords are thicker and stiffer and the compound is different for stiffer sidewalls.

And he reads the my posts thing so he can only see what I say

I thought about nice 16 inch wheels. But by the time u get them and ship them to my place and have them mounted it would be like 800 bucks. Not really worth it. If I was to go back in time I would have bought 17 inch ss wheels for like next to nothing on this site and got 17s in my tire. Oo well.
