I'm down. Edmonton isn't to far. Already passed it actually. We could do a weekend thing too. So like drive up Friday night, camp overnight, race and meet Saturday, then camp again, an head back Sunday night

Fridays. And it has like half the traffic that secret street gets. Ive gotten in like 14 runs 1 night lol compared to 4 at Calgary. Every time I've been there I've gotten 10+ runs in.

I like 'domestic tuner' - that's rather encompassing ~ but anythign 'ecotec' more or less relegates us to 2002 and newer j-bodies or deltas;
which is why I didn't go there...
the only deal with inviting another brand out is that you can guarantee that brand-bashing will be present...
and some SRT4's are so freaking fast, that it would make the rest of us look that much more pathetic;
the N-SRT4, is arguably the fastest domestic FWD car, once modded... unfortunately most N-SRT4 owners have a chip on their shoulder because of this (at least this is the case of N-SRT4 owners I have talked to ~ and is evident from most of the members over on srt4oa.com)

^^ that's not what I was going for...
I've met a couple who were cool ~ but from my experience, on average, C-SRT4 owners are more laid back, and less pretentious than N-SRT4 owners...
but maybe some people think that Cobalt SS owners are typically d-bags

brand bashing or not who cares..... its bracket racing..... similar cars against similar cars.... at the end of the day its called nut up and take it..... honestly i think it be cool to do it and it is a major undertaking to accomplish..... and really speed isnt everything..... a cool car is a cool car regardless of what type or brand i know some j bodies that what make a srt think twice.... its a great step in the right direction to show the community that not all tuners are ********....
see its expensive to rent castrol we got lucky that last meet..... more the merrier is the best way to cover cost..... whatever is left over can go to charity...

speaking of Neons;
Malcolm Ward’s First Gen/Srt4 swapped Neon Acr ť Modern Performance’s Blog
yeah, I don't know where Jordan came up with renting the track - but that would cost alot of money... ALOT.
IIRC the guy who ran secret street had to cough up $5g for each night he ran it... and iirc that was a "buddy" rate from the track operator...
if we could get enough interest and people to help out via deposit, it might be conceivable to rent the track - but it would have to be on an "off" day...

your gonna get brand bashing no matter what make or model shows up. I know I bash cavaliers but I've owned one before. I bash all cars but it's all in good fun. Finding a bunch of decent guys who recognize a well put together car are few and far between.
I'm all for it but do we have to stick to the 4 cylinder category??
