I'm not even sure if I know whom he is...

former trucker based out of (north of) Saskatoon??
had an Ion Redline?

..........

well for the first time since I've lived at this house - there are outdoor Christmas lights up!

It's nothing fancy - but it sure beats nothing at all! ~ which makes one look like a scrooge!

he's the one cobalt/delta guy from SK that I've met!

I have met a few from Edmonton, a handful from Winnipeg, and a couple socalers... but those are the only non lethbridge/Calgary Cobalt fans I've met...

Actually surprisingly work hasn't sent me there since like the beginning of August.

but I also an unsure about where you're from;
you've mentioned in hte past that you bought your car in Lethbridge, and you have elluded ti ties here - then your 'location' has also said "BC and Calgary" - or something to that effect.

but I guess you're I forgot about ya...

well thanks to kijiji I got a Christmas tree last night (buying new would have totally blown my budget!)
so there's two firsts;
-first year with outdoor lights!
-first year with my own tree!

come to think of it ~ both of these are firsts since I've been out on my own... which is from late '00;
in my rental place I would normally use Christmas tree lights around the living room, and in the front window...

i love living at home haha. free food, free shelter, free clothes, can do basically anything i want. its a good life and i plan on staying here until my parents kick me out.

also i have alot of options for post-secondary as a petroleum engineer.

1. U of C for Petro. Eng.
2. U of A for Petro Eng.
3. U of Regina for Petro Eng.
4. Mount Royal for 2 years, then U of C for 2 years for Petro Eng
5. SAIT for Petro Eng. Tech then Montana Tech for 2 years for Petro Eng
6. SAIT for Petro eng tech.

im gonna apply everywhere probably. But i dont know if i get accepted to u of c and u of a what school i want to go to. my uncle said his biggest mistake was not going away for college and my cousin loved going away. but that means student loans. where if i stay here i can live expense free at home. decisions decisions

Going away to school was my best decision I've ever made. My grades improved I had a hell of a lot more fun and learned about life lol. Everything you do is based on your timeframe and you don't have to listen to anyone

don't you have to have a means of legitimizing any expenses on them as being for work?
don't they count against your taxable income at the end of the year?

I have corporate nothing...

Yeah you have to show receipts so you can't go out and start buying stuff for yourself lol.
But still, Dinner, Hotels, Taxis, Rentals, Entertainment (Movies, Events etc..) all covered. When you're out in the middle of nowhere the company has to compensate you somehow.
