Yup... Sharp auto trim is great!
A few buddies have had work done there, and it's turned out great.

The whole reason I bought this car was because I had problems with the 04. Nothing near like this and they were always able to fix everything that went wrong with that car, although it was all minor stuff besides the timing chain stripping the timing gears. They offered me a bunch of money if i traded my 04 in on a new saturn so that's how I ended up with this car. I think i'm going to document what has been going on and send email/letters to whoever I can at GM and see what happens. If it's not fixed this time I'm going to freak out on the dealership though because they are actually the ones causing problems with the car not parts on the car failing.

Well SMP took a week to fix a 59 cent roll pin that they had in stock since day one. It's a hard knock life for us in Saskatchewan.

I also tried to get it serviced at SMP the regional rep told me that they could not work on the transmission there as it was specific to Saturn and only a Saturn Dealearship is qualified to work on it. He argued with me when i told him the Cobalt SS/SC had the exact same drivetrain and transmission....

The dealership ended up screwing up the linkage the first time i got it back so it wouldn't stay in gear for more than 10 seconds (and drove it all over town like that for me before they gave it back). After getting it back it rattled like crazy sorta as though the gears were chattering against each other but did it with the clutch in or out. Long story short , it's now back in at Saturn for the 5th time over this transmission in which they have now screwed up so badly I'm probably going to be faced with having to get the whole transmission replaced if they can't fix it this time. It's currently in pieces there and has been since thursday last week. I'm supposed to be getting it back late next week. And of course Saturn of Canada will do nothing for me all i get is "we will take care of it" bullshit. I even had them make one of the GM territory reps call me and he was even more useless. Since I'm already posting this, any suggestions about getting some legal action in this? It's become blatantly obvious that Saturn of Saskatoon has no clue what they are doing and is destroying my car.... I have asked numerous times how you can cause damage to a transmission by doing a simple clutch install.
Sounds similiar to what happened with my car. I bought my car in April 05 and in September of 06 I was having my car slip out of gears in 1st, 3rd, and reverse once in a while. I told Wheaton Chev in Regina the problem and got them to look at it. The next day after I took it in they told me everything should be fixed...right. Later that night I take it out and sure enough same thing. I was pissed but needed to drive it at the time so I did. It continued to get worse over the next couple days and to the point where I couldn't hardly get it to shift into 2nd without it constantly slipping out.

I took it back to them asap and was politely told them that it wasn't fixed. A month and half later after "waiting on parts" they decided that it would be best to just swap out with a brand new 06 transmission (Wow, could have done that after two weeks)! I haven't went back there since...however the new Trans I haven't had any problems at all with and car runs great. *Knocks on wood*

I'm sorry to hear all the bullshit you have to go through with your car, I can definitely relate though.

My next fear is that they will decide to swap out the transmissions and like the morons they are put in the regular 07 tranny instead of the one with the Limited Slip.

Honestly your best bet might be to raise some hell and tell them exactly what you feel they need to do. Cause they are just going to dick around till someone gets on their ass to get their **** in gear.
