That would be Raptors_67 and myself.
I'm moving out of S'toon soon, so I may not be available to tune though.

I don't really know anyone up at speedtech but it may be me they are talking about. I have an 07 redline. Are you having the dealer install the stage 2 kit? If you're thinking of going custom tune then I wouldn't recommend it.

Welcome!
Might not be a bad idea to figure out what the cause of the CEL is though....

Jason at speedtech Didn't know who did the tuning either, he actually told me to go down to kal tire and talk to a Brock guy that worked there to find out. I am getting SMP to install the stage two kit cause i don't wan't to **** my warranty up. All jason told me was it was easy to push extra hp out of the engine with some computer tuning.

In response to sillver bullet , nah i haven't been out to SIR lately. But I have been rippin around town on my brothers a 06 ninja 1000. Almost made me wanna scrap the whole car idea.

I have full warranty and installed stage 2 myself and i've used my warranty numerous times. They asked me once about it and I told them it was the GM stage 2 kit.... no problems since they had to replace the stage 2 belt and didn't know it wasn't the stock one. If you wanna save yourself some cash I can install all of it for you. You can also ask everyone here in town that has stage 2 (or some of us with quite a bit more installed). We haven't had any issues of being denied warranty.

Wow, finally have 5 minutes out of my day to write on here again. My car is at SMP right now getting the 3RD rollpin put in under warranty. Was looking at getting one custom made that is stronger (since the cost of this stupid piece is .59 cents) but warranty is still covering it so hopefully 3rd time is a charm.

I hope to make it out to SIR at least once this year even though I don't have that many mods to keep up to Brock (Damn Kal Tire guys with way too much money i guess). haha

Also, i'll probably be needing one of you guys to do a tune too soon i hope. I know Tyler is leaving soon. Right now i'm only getting 32 mpg going 120. Would like to see somewhere around 40 at least with the few mods I got.

Easy to do. Half an hour in the car can push you up a few MPG's.

Yeah that shouldn't be a problem. My last trip was 33 - 34 mpg at 145 and the redlines get a little worse mileage than the cobalts due to tire size and I'm also running the 2.75 inch pulley right now.

Got stage two kit installed today. Went for a burn. i was not impressed at all. The charger is louder but that is about it. Gonna hook up my CAI now and see if that makes a dif. the other filter is about a yr old so prolly full of ****.

Well with the CAI hooked up it performed a lot better. I still don't think it is the 260 hp that I should be getting after both those mods. What other mods are you guys doing for power?

With those mods, you should be closer to 245. I've got similar mods.

Can anybody meet up and see what CEL I'm throwing? It came back today mysteriously...

Gm claims the stage two mods is good for 245. K&N say you get 15 wheel hp with their CAI.

It's not 245.... at least not in august in Saskatoon. Have had a few stage 2's on the dyno in these temperatures and they are having a hard time breaking 230.

Can squek another 10 to 15 hp out of it but we've noticed quite a bit more torque can be gained and dyno runs seem to be more consistent since we control the amount of timing that is pulled due to the heat.

Yup, heat is a monster. Cooling mods should be on your order list if you want the have max power on tap all the time.

Omega5 - are you still around? I'd like to get a quick scan some lunchtime or after work........

With your setup, I'd recommend an aftermarket HE, installed like this guy:
https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/how-guide-43/how-install-cx-racing-h-e-w-no-fabrications-125996/
relatively cheap and easy.

If you pulley down but don't want meth, I'd go for the HE like above, plus dual pass with extra overflow tank.

EDIT:
Omega5, thanks for trying to help today - we will get er sorted out :-)
Here is the "fan control" thread: https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/n2mb-racing-166/ideas-new-electronic-products-123480/ a la "freakta"
