Yup, you are most likely bang on here. I know you didn't read all my posts, but you can see I have a theory that the 3" intake pushed the MAF error t a high level. However, I never had a code with the intake on for a long time. But as soon as I switched to Mohawk, which they claim will increase O-count, I popped the code. So I think the Ethanol was the final straw, pushing the MAF error rate high enough to throw the code. As soon as I switched back to Shell gasoline (so far) the CEL went away. So, I am in the process of buying HPT so Tyler can help me get the MAF tuned properly. Then I can probably start using Mohawk again if I want.
Thank god at least some people in the world know what the problem is haha.

SunfireJoe, how does someone miss 4th? Its straight down from third?
Haha, i did that with my Caprice Classic a few years ago when i was getting new tires, and ended up getting myself a $130 stuntung ticket, a $50 fine through SGI, and an interview with a driving test instructor... hopefully you fare better!

but he tore his tranny appart to replace his synchros 3 weeks ago, to find out he got sent the wrong syncrhos(different years in transmissions to what he thought) so machined his pivot gear ball, and smoothed out the the sharp edges on the synchros.
than he received dsm link on monday, got sent the wrong year of ecm, 2 wires difference so switched the wires, but had an tach that did whatever. for being a car that was front wheel drive w/ a 1.6 turbo 2 years ago. to be switched to a 2.0L AWD turbo'd car w/ a crap load of engine work its not too bad, but we were hoping for more. But the car was finsihed last weekend, and had to work out the bugs this past week. Obviously didnt fair too great on all the bugs, BUT we didnt blow it up
next year well be racing his auto colt, my turbo cobalt . and a nitrous neon. and possibly a LNF cobalt if he mans up and joins our racing team
but no complaints, watching that top fuel dragster run a 6.12 @ 231.75MPH breaking both the ET and MPH for the track was cool
if u do want more info about the car, or more detailed pics heres the link

We'll be moving everything to Jen's parents this weekend, then moving everything again once we have possession of the house in mid September. Not too sure what we're doing until then.... all I know is that I have to be at work for next Tuesday.
.....
On a bit of a side note.... the bike crew made page 2 of the Star Phoenix.

hey Brock, would you be able to do a front end alignment for me? If so let me know how much you want. The car's in at the delearship for a few weeks here probably if not more, but when it gets out I'd like to get rid of the left pull.
What fun would that be, the option B install and endplate? It's a bit of a treat if you consider that fun but at least you don't have to remove the lower manifold.

actually, when they are done with your car and if they follow what they are supposed to do for your case, the car should recieve a wheel alignment. That is if they follow the book. lol, not likely. hahaha

You shouldn't have to remove the lower intake manifold to install the endplate. Let us know how it goes as i'm sure it's something i'll be getting into in the future.

Yup, it was a warranty claim. Sure glad I bought the extended warranty.... They said that since they can't find what is wrong, they can't claim warranty to GM. They said that "someone" has to pay for the time, and that falls to me. They said that if I left it there for however many days/weeks it would take to figure out what was wrong, they MAY warranty it all (as long as the final cause is warranty-able). But, if I left it with them for say a week, they find the problem and say it can't be warrantied, then I would be on the hook for the ENTIRE bill. So, I decided to pay the $266 instead of a possible grand or two. Plus, I got my car out of the clutches of those retards.
oh, forgot. I came on here to say hi to you and the CAPTAIN.....
