What do you have to switch with the cores? I thought it was just changing the endplate? Removing that manifold is a bitch....

The laminova cores are directional. You need to switch two of the cores to allow for proper flow. It's either the top two, or the bottom two, depending on the flow path you want.

What fun would that be, the option B install and endplate? It's a bit of a treat if you consider that fun but at least you don't have to remove the lower manifold.
well i dont do the alignments and dont know how. but my place of employment sure can. i think we charge 89.99 or something like that. i will look into it though

what if we know a guy that knows how to do them but doesn't have an alignment rack at his current place of employment? Are you allowed to use it?

Sounds like it will probably be a while before i get the car back anyways.

The instructions they sent with the kit are pretty mint. It says to switch the bottom two, but is there any advantage to switching the flow path?

Can Kal Tire balance tires for speeds in excess of 130kph or does 8th st kal just suck. I just got new tires installed there and my car was shaky. So had them balance em again and they still shake. My old rubber no shake.

I believe the flow path needs to be changed - or else the dual pass system wont work properly. Right Tyler?

Ya, it,s pretty obvious the dual pass won't work without switching two around, just curious as to whether it is better to switch the top 2 or bottom 2.

Oh I see what you mean. That I don't know. Lemme see if I can find that link............
http://www.crateenginedepot.com/store/pdfs/sidekit.pdf
There we go. Hmmm.... Page 2 has a good view... How does the stock endplate direct flow thought those 4?

Is stock like this?
/-------->0=====>>Hot Out
\<--------0\
/-------->0/
\<--------0=====<<Cold In

And the Stage 3 document suggests this, correct?
/-------->0=====>>Hot Out
\<--------0
=======|====<<Cold In
/<--------0
\-------->0=====>>Hot Out

So if you changed the top 2 laminovas instead of the bottom two, you would need to route the hoses a bit different and end up with something like this, right?
/<--------0=====<<Cold In
\-------->0
=======|====>>Hot Out
/-------->0
\<--------0=====<<Cold In

Someone please correct me if anything is off here. If not, hopefully that will help you decide which is best?

I'm around all weekend AND I don't have a car of my own to work on this weekend so if you want, send me a pm and I can meet you wherever. Since you have a wideband if you can get a wire from the output on your gauge I have HP Tuners Pro now and it would be nice to be able to log the wideband info too.

hey does anyone know where the all mustang show is located in Saskatoon... I will be in town this weekend and heard that there is a mustang show going on.

I know its not a cobalt thing but I am assuming there will be some nice stangs (classic and new) there

I'm not sure where... but I know most of them are going out to SIR for racing first.
The event runs all weekend long... and I imagine that there will be a fair amount of 8th St stuff happening.

I don't know why I'm doing this, cause I'm still gonna ***** this thread like crazy...

But, anyways... as of tomorrow, I'll no longer be a Saskatoon resident.
I'll try to swing in for a few meets, and catch up with everyone.
