232hp and 264tq 4th gear pull
242hp and 275tq 3rd gear pull
im just reading the slip guys
it was at gss, maybe it was the octane boost i slipped in the tank
there was an s2000 that ran after me with a 2.2 and it pulled a 212hpand 165 tq that seems pretty close to me.

the HP is bang on... but the tq is definetly wrong. It will be within a few numbers of 225 im sure.... we've spent a fair bit of time with cobalts on that dyno
That octane boost will give you maybe 1 to 2 points of octane.... if you're already running 91 or higher it's not gonna do anything for your factory stage 2 setup. I'll hookup the scanner one day if you want and show ya.
This dyno supposedly reads within a few percent of other dyno's that people have used so it should be a good comparison.

Jimmie Johnson #48 (NASCAR) and the Riders for another win! Whoo hooo!
Chad, i'll believe those tq numbers, if we can clone your slip for my car too! What intake did you have again anyway?

i didnt get an rpm printout it just has mph but its at redline anyone know how to post a pic ill put the slip up
just the air box mod
i'd like to see that one day, i mostly run it to reduce pinging and it makes it run a little smoother i think.

You can host an image in the gallery, or host it elsewhere (like on photobucket or imageshack), then copy the link and use the img tags (the icon with the mountains).

That looks a little off.... the torque curve never decreases, but the HP is bang on. Can tell the car is heatsoaking pretty good too after the first run. Mike should know a little more about this, but did they not try to hook-up the RPM scanner? It's a bit of a pain to do on a dyno day but I think you need RPM to calculate torque ie. tourque = HP * 5252/RPM no? (I think that's the right formula for engine torque)

Upon inspection of the dyno sheet, and combining it with my handy gear ratio chart... the dyno is set up perfectly fine on the measurement side... however, the output torque equation (filtered torque) seems to be setup wrong.
The system is reading MPH (calculating RPM) and load cell raw torque as it should... to give a normal power curve. But seeing as it isn't producing a mathematically possible torque curve, it must be off (the hp and torque don't cross... which is impossible, as HP=T*N/5252).
Anyways.... nice power numbers though! 240 for a stage 2 on a dynojet is pretty good!

i knew the torque was high that peak right at the end should not have happened i told them that at the dyno day. i was just telling what the sheet said, Looks good on paper though after about 100 mph the 2 curves are identical the two should have met round about 105mph. also the 2nd run i didnt redline it was only about 6400 forgot about the 7 g redline. first run was 3rd gear 2nd was 4th. But all in all im happy with HP i put down. what gear do you usually dyno these cars in?
they just hooked something up on the battery terminal thats all i know i didnt get them to meter the AFR

Rippin07 here, just using raptors comp. Everything is set up fine and the dyno is good, what happened is that the module they used lost the rpm through the connection causing the torque graph to skew like that. Your peak torque is going to be around the 227lb ft which is really good still. This has happend to other cars as well, this is why I hook up the small inductive pickup to the #1 coil trigger wire, this way you always have an accurate tach signal. The box is good but alot of times will lose the signal, especially if they dont ground the car to the dyno.
Still awesome numbers chad.

That would explain the lower number on the second run.

Well maybe you can talk garrison into givin me a few freebie pulls to see what its actually at.
The first pull i did i dont know what happened with that big dip in there, thats like v-tech **** goin on there!!woot
i had my fan on i think somethin kicked in oops mybad.

Hey Wendy's Cobalt.....
I used to go to StreeGlow.com if that helps. eBay may be better? As for in the city, I'm out of ideas, lol...
EDIT: I mean Burger King.....
