I'm partial to the ZZP as far as the whole 'no-cut' thing... being that it literally bolts right in.
As far as functionality... despite it's lack of popularity, the Silicone intakes HE has a huge profile, and one of the largest volumes.

Really, it doesn't matter, as long as you can get more volume in the system.... adding an 'option b' bottle with it is a good mod as well.

The big CX one didn't go in to bad in my car. I had to trim the hood latch bracing a bit but thats cause i wanted to make sure i got it up good and high. Not sure if it would be a whole lot different on the balts though. Didn't have to make any brackets either. Might be able to lend you a hand though colby.

Hmmmm. Went out to the Dakota Dunes casino Sunday night, cruising at about 110. Averaged 8.2L/100km's.

I avereaged about 8.5 before the tune.

Sounds not too bad.

I'm going to review your tune file tonight. I learned something this weekend about highway fuel economy. I found the 'timing peak' where economy drops off again if you advance it too far. I'll let you know what I find.

On a side note.... everyone's will probably notice their economy going for **** (a bit) in the coming weeks. Good old winter air is heading in.

To tell you the truth, I'm not too concerned about highway economy, as I travel very rarely. It's also only about a 10 minute highway trip to the casino, so maybe not the greatest stretch to get an accurate number. I'm more interested in improved city economy, and performance. I'll know better how that is when I can start over with a full tank again.

If you bought the PCM from him, then no. Also, I'd highly suggest not getting the dealer to do it. Just install it without them knowing, and don't even mention that you have a Stage 2 kit unless they ask.
Really, Stage 2 kits aren't supposed to be transferred from car to car.

.... again... I highly suggest that the dealer doesn't do it.
A stage 2 kit is supposed to be tied to only one VIN. Putting used parts on to your car though the dealership is just asking for trouble.

Install it privately, and if the dealership asks... it just another GM part.

Maybe someone else on this forum who cares about their warranty can tell you how it all works.... I shot mine out the door long ago... just that SMP is too dumb to know it.

it takes like 2 hours at the most to put in the hardest thing is getting the belt on... man it sux. sorry i didnt know u had bought a pcm along with it, but going to the dealer to get it installed is pointless and it will just cost u an arm and a leg.

it should take a little longer than 30 minutes to do the pulley and injectors, unless you have done them a few times.

Nah... get someone private to do it.

It's not hard.... I think I can do a full install in under 30 min now. It's just about having the right tools for the job.

You're forgetting the pulley. It's kind of a bitch even with the right puller the last couple went a lot easier than mine. I damn near had a heart attack when my pulley finally let go, made a pretty loud snap. I'm pretty sure you will need a crank case relearn swapping PCM's no?
