Has anyone seen overboosst lately? I'm going through my final checks and he isn't on my master list. And he's a leader. (Kinda freaking out) Anyone have a phone number you can PM me?

Okay... so it's 4:15a. Been working on organizing and making arrangements and making final lists... leaders, you all have PMs from me. non-payers, you all have PMs from me. And to show for my work...

Oh... another FYI to the guys racing.
Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but if you have a TVS, turbo conversion, or nitrous.... you might need a fire jacket.
I'm not too familiar with IHRA rules, but NHRA rules state that if you are using a non-OEM power adder, a fire jacket is required.

Well, turns out, I don't work on the Friday, but I might be out and about doing stuff.
Probably anytime in the afternoon is fine with me.

BTW, I think I'm going to setup a morning schedule tonight sometime.
And I'll PM the map to my house to everyone that is staying as well.

I was pretty messed up... but I'm one of the more 'subtle' ones.

About the helmet... sure can!

I hope Steve has enough time to tune your tvs. They look like a bolt on but....

yea thats what i been told. Orderd it and then everyone said that. Talked to TTR to see if they can cancel the order on the engine mount but it was already being processed so they couldnt, they said on there test car it still helped but iiunno. I'll probably not install the engine mount and sell it brand new. Pretty sure someone will want it. As for the rotated mounts thats abit over my head so i have to find a shop in the area or a dealership to install them for me. And yea, i talked to steve he said he can get me tuned before the meet. I'm hoping this weekend...gotta start ripping into the car anyways this weekend, got a small coolant leak somewheres. iiunno tho, could be a number of things.

Naw they arent to strict with that.
I know plenty of turboed n/a cars that dont wear them
and i know a few people spraying who didnt either.

pretty much as long as everyone is slower than 11.5, then all you need is a helmet and a standard tech inspection.

p.s dont expect to race in shorts and flipflops

I think you should be fine with installing the rotated mounts on your own. I had a read through on the stage 2 howto on here, and its pretty straight forward. Print off the howto and follow through step by step you should be fine.

If the mount is already processed, just try it out. try the car with and without it. Only you will know what works best for you.

you have pm'd him right. then all you can do is wait and hopfully he gets back to you. i'm pretty much ready and just have to clean and go. i decided that what ever is next will wait until after the meet. including the cracked windshield a f350 decided to give me a couple days ago. all trucks should have mud flaps, that should be law. Well I guess if an area leader wants to flake out, and no one else will take the responsibility, they are on their own for getting to the track in time...

Actually it is. straight from the alberta regs:
Mudguards.

64 The body of a motor vehicle or trailer or a fender, mudguard or similar structure must cover the width of the tire and extend to the mid‑point of the axle when viewed from behind the vehicle.
FYI: if the vehicle does not have adequate fender flares or mudflaps to cover his tires, you can phone the cops, report his licence plate and description, damage to your vehicle, etc. and he is 100% liable for the cost of repair.

Yeah, I PM'd him. I'm giving him until Friday. I can't believe I let it slip through the cracks. Damn it. He should be on top of it too though.

So if he doesn't get back to me after Friday, I guess the Calgary leader becomes Southern Alberta as a whole and everyone meets at Deerfoot. Makes sense.

Haha, the drinking time isn't down to the minute. I just wanna have everything laid out so it's easy to execute. No need to have people scrambling on the day of the meet. (Although I have a feeling something like that might happen )

Apparantly tial's instructions are wrong for manual controllers Only have it boosting at 8psi right now but its ready for the meet, so happy I can race now haha. Took a few beers to get me thinking right.

Yea, stupid weather. Last four times i washed my car, it rains the next day. It was a super nice day out today, got to clay bar, wax, and totally clean and detail the whole car (short of the engine bay, there are only so many hours in a day), and guess what? It's supposed to rain for three days now!
I just checked the weather yesterday and there was nothing!! ARG!

Yeah, you're gonna get what we're getting right now. It's drizzly on and off. But totally welcomed.

I was going through the Gwynne valley today and there is the odd poplar that is changing color. In July. And maybe three or four of the fields within four miles are producing... the crop insurance guys have been out and written off all the others. It's really scary. Our corn didn't come up, carrots didn't come up.. sweet peas... it's ******* dry.
