Canada Hello from Moncton, NB

Hi everyone, I bought a Sunburst Orange Cobalt SS/SC on June 8th and have been enjoying the hell out of it since then lol. I'm not the biggest car enthusiast but I've had my eyes on that car at the Seaside Chevrolet dealership since they got it in and just had to get it once the lease on my Alero was up.

First thing I want to do is get my windows tinted but not sure after that, we'll see.

I saw a red Cobalt SS/SC in Shediac the other day, was wondering if the guy that owns it is on this site also. The guy in the parts department at Seaside said the owner of a red SS/SC bought a Stage 1 or 2 kit, cant remember which.

haha Ziggy's was an awesome bar..it's now up on Mountain road in the same spot as Fairlanes bowling and called Voodoo now.

Cosmo's still downtown..and the Oxygen is the new big bar(3 bars in one raver bar/dance bar/alternative bar) it's in the old Paramount theatre.

lots of little drinking pubs with patios all the way down main street now and on the close side streets

ya i guess when the roads totally torn up you can't technically say theres a pothole.

and how about raised ashvault (sp?) patches..guess they can't be potholes either

Canada Stage II

Hey,

I was just looking at regional stuff, and found this thread. I am in Saint John, and just got my Stage II kit installed today. Everything was through the dealership and the whole thing cost me about 1100 including taxes and installation. The dealership charges $960 for the stage II kits but I brought them in a print out from ebay for one that was like $730 canadian. They brought their price down to $750.

I just picked up the kit like 2 hours ago so I haven't really got the chance to check it out...but even on the way home in heavy traffic I noticed the difference. It's wicked. I'll keep you posted.

Are there many other SS/SC owners in SJ??

Yep went to Brett's. I was not very happy with the service at first (they sold me the car in the middle of winter and neglected to mention the SS/SC tires were summer and not all season tires) I drove illegally on the summers for a bit. But other than that I have been happy with them. They gave me an excellent deal on the stage 2 kit.

The stage 2 is awsome. It makes a huge difference. I'd like to keep going with the mods. but i need to do some more research. I will add an intake after winter, (which is suppose to add an extra 15 hp) but other than that i am not sure what other mods. will be worth my while.

which of your mods. (other than the stage two) added the most hp for the lowest price???

I like the CAI. I havent yet installed my catback and manifold so i dont know yet so I cant comment on those just yet. But the CAI works well. Are you putting a exhaust eventually on yours?

Hey guys, new to the forum and new owner of a 08 cobalt LS! I live in the Moncton area and I'm looking to add a little more horsepower to my ls and possibly lower it a little bit. Is there any place in Moncton that would actually do this or am I better off learning to do it myself? Anyone done it before and know roughly how much it costs?

Welcome! First off, good job at reviving a 5 year old thread lol. What kind of mods are you looking at? Cold air intakes, exhaust and lowering mods seem popular around here. There are a bunch of vendors on this site like zzperformance.com , ottperformance.com , turbotechracing.com and crateenginedepot.com . There's also ebay where you can find appearance mods I.e. headlights . How much are you looking at spending, that's the real question! Happy shopping
