Bahahaha I can thank google for finding this thread for me :P. Mainly performance. I really like the stock look of the ls, and lowering as well. To be more specific, not looking to make my cobalt some 600 horsepower demon from hell (don't have the wallet for that, as good of an idea as that sounds), just looking to add some extra horsepower, bring it withing the 260 range, I know some turbo kits from my research can turn up to 3,000$, if possible I'd like to avoid that lol

Well seems like you're looking for big power, so either turbo or supercharger kit, so start saving your money up heh. A cold air intake is always a start, you can probably find one on kijiji or even ebay. If you're looking to open up your exhaust performance, I have a GMPP header for sale, with brand new gaskets. It will only fit if you have a manual transmission, since there's a clearance issue with automatic trannys. Here's my kijiji ad if you want a picture Few Cobalt SS Supercharged parts - Moncton Engine, Engine Parts For Sale - Kijiji Moncton Canada.

Also a friend of mine on this site is selling various parts, including an M62 supercharger from a cobalt SS SC Cobalt SS and LS-LT parts - Moncton Auto Body Parts For Sale - Kijiji Moncton Canada.

If I had a 2.2 its a great motor with good torque, ( o wait my wntr btr is a 2.2., I do!) I would do gmpp cat back, gmpp cold air, and a new timing tensioner. Then later I would do ported head, zzp header, a tune and be happy, and be done with it... of course all the genuine powell rotated mount and handling upgrades....
you want s/c or t/c go buy one...

Check out zzperformance.com or ottperformance.com for parts.
Zzp's stage 2 kit seems the most popular and best bang for your buck.
What color car do you drive? I'm in Moncton as well and drive a black SS sc, lowered and with projectors and hid bulbs.

Congrats on your purchase, and a good color choice. I would definitely recommend ZZP's stage 2 kit, or stage 3 if you have some extra $ to spend. You'll need to find a tuner though. Any other questions, shoot away or send me a pm
