ok the only problem i foresee running into is parking so unless you guys are willing to pay to park like 25 bucks max i will have to figure it out and i have to be realistic i dont know how long we will have before we have to head back to the meet area so i will have to narrow it down to a few things to do that day because navy pier and taste of chicago can be a allday thing and then stuff like wrigely field and united center will be out cus of time

ok im gonna add a poll..
this is only for the karting day and for people who arent karting
we will not be doing other stuff during this meet because thats not cool so for those of us who arent karting ive came up with a few other things to do till they get done and we dont have to sit around
(hope Toms not pissed at me)

yea i won't be karting either. i'm only gonna be 20 and i'm sure i won't be the only one thats not of age, so i definately think we should keep the activity to where everyone can enjoy it.

A few things to think about...
There is a spectator area at the go-kart location, that includes a bar with food. I *believe* it's on the upper level, overlooking the track.
That weekend is going to be crazy in Chicago. As already said, Taste of Chicago is happening. It's also Pride. This means driving anywhere in the city is going to suck, due to the large amount of street closings for both Taste and Pride. Driving to Wrigley field will be near impossible, as it's only about 3 blocks from the Pride activities.
If you want to go into the city, take a train. The commuter Metra trains are only about 10 minutes from the hotel, and have large parking lots. Once you get into the city, you can use CTA trains and buses to get around, which will be much easier than trying to drive and park, not to mention cheaper. They will get you everywhere you want to go.
If you have any questions, ask away.

yea i thought about mentioning that too but then i dont know how large the group will be and i wont be able to control everyone on the bus since theres a few cubs games going on that weekend also (i have tickets ) so the public trans will be packed with those people and might get mixed in the crowd and lost

There is a Cubs home game June 19th, and then not again till the 27th. (They play the Sox away.) So none over CED. Cubs/Sox games mainly just affect the Red Line, so buses won't be as bad. Honestly, CTA is pretty easy, especially for something like getting to Navy Pier. Ride bus to Navy Pier, it's the last stop.
then you have to think about whos wife is gonna be scared to ride the bus maybe theyve never rode public transportation before and they are nervous..is chicago really the best place to start? i dont knowwwwwwww

Pissed? lol no not at all, its going to be a first time here for a lot of people so exploring the city would be pretty amazing to everyone. Also keep in mind we are doing a cruise down to the city on Friday evening but we are not planning on making stops at Willis/Sears tower or Navy Pier.
Whitnith knows her way around the city (Party girl) so take what she says seriously. Wait did i just use the word Party girl and seriously in the same sentance?
Be sure to check out the main thread for updates daily as a we have some exciting news coming in.

We can always take the train into union station which will cost like $5 a head and walk around downtown and hit up those spots
