Ummmm..You should get a SA2005+ helmet, not a motocross helmet.

this, and i plan to ride more than i'd need the helmet for my car


but a new one is in order for sure had the same helmet since i was like 10 fckr still fits(padding is quite broken down) and those are dot/snell approved so i can use it for both if needed

 

yeah you can find some helmets with a rating permitted at the track. but most of them will not. mainly because if you crash a bike/4wheel and it catches fire, you're already away from it. when a car catches on fire, you're still inside..

 

of course if i regularly plan to do both i'll get both haha

It's not going to be broadcasted around. Like it says, we are splitting into groups. Your group leader needs to be able to contact you during the cruise, if needed. We can't expect everyone to go get 2-way radios, so cell phone is the next best option.
