GM Anti Wheel Hop Kit, In stock!

We have received our Anti Wheel Hop kits.

GMPP’s Wheel-Hop Kit reduces performance-robbing wheel hop that can occur under hard acceleration with a modified vehicle.
Besides optimizing acceleration and traction, the kit can help prevent parts breakage with high-performance applications.
It works on 2005-2007 Cobalt SS Supercharged and Saturn Ion Red Line models.

I think it is bull **** of gm to do us this way.The wheel hop and clutches in these cars should of been recalled, instead of making us pay for this **** they should just fix this **** for us. These car stock have wheel hop,and clutch slippage.Like i said gm needs to man up and fix this ****.

ive heard about this kind of non recall issue, as in the 2003-2005 Gmc sierra and a few other vehicles, their MPH bezel sticks at 120mph, and the dealer has to replace the whole unit, but they will not recall it. there has been a lawsuit against GM started over this. i know its a totally diff issue than what we have but its kinda close, do you think there may be someone that starts a lawsuit over this type of deal? because i totally agree that they should fix these wheel hop and clutch issues for free, because their not rated at what they should be and GM knows that.

Didnt mean to thread jack tho. sorry for that

You can read the instructions here:
http://www.crateenginedepot.com/store/pdfs/19211782.pdf

Until someone actually tries to install them thats all you have to go by for now.

Special Parts Notice
This part has been specifically designed for Off-Highway application only. Since the installation of this part
may either impair your vehicle’s emission control performance or be uncertified under current Motor Vehicle
Safety Standards, it should not be installed in a vehicle used on any street or highway. Additionally, any such
application could adversely affect the warranty coverage of such an on-street or highway vehicle

ARE YOU KIDDING ME????? ....a GM part and it wouldn't even be covered by warranty? ....that's a big ol' load of shiz right there

Grow up Kiddie!

Cobalts are an entry level vehicle, incl the SC and TC. Comprimises were made to accommodate who knows what reasons, but you can be sure that if money were no object, solutions would have been found.

I owned a 2004 Saab 9-3 with the 2.0 turbo (basically the same engine), F35 trans (same again), and "NO wheel hop" problems. But then my Saab cost a lot more at that time, than than a SC. The TC didn't exist.

So would you have spent the money on a Cobalt SC, if it cost the same as a Saab?

Guess you should have done your research on the car before you bought it. The Cobalt line was a low budget entry level car. If they had to fix thousands of cobalts for free, they wouldnt even be in business.

Then they should of not sold the car if it isnt right. You get a young kid that goes out and breaks a axl and they look at the car and voids their warrenty saying he was raceing,or the clutch burns up and guess what they want to blam the kid and void his warrenty.I have never owned a car that had wheel hop,or a shitty clutch.Come on its the same clutch in the base model, and they put it behind a supercharged car, thats stupid.Think about it the ss/sc or the ss/tc cost $ 10,000 more then a base model you would think for that much more money you would get more than just a supercharger,or turbo. When they added that they should of added the proper axls, and mounts to make the car right. And they would not have to fix thousands of car if the dumb asses would of built it right to begin with. And the ss/sc and the ss/tc are not budget cars its the top of the line cobalt not the ******* ls . DO you even own a cobalt?

What I find funny is,when I snapped my 3rd gear synchro in my balt 1.5yrs ago(3x's to be exact)warranty didnt cover anything because the result of it was WHEEL HOP in 3rd gear..axles were fine, clutch was fine, tires showed no visible signs of burn marks..still trying to figure that one out..last time i dyno'd the car it made 221whp,lol...also it says MODIFIED VEHICLE,there goes the warranty coverage
