This has got to be cheaper than getting it from a dealer in Canada.

GB would be nice, but seriously, they are going to make a killing off this "IF" it comes out, GB or not.
As a side not...why is everyone hoping this kit comes with a CAI? I hope it doesnt. Think about it...315 HP with just a reflash and sensors, WTF?!!? I would gladly pay substantial cash for that.

yup I second that - I tried posting to the tuner source blog but no response yet...
If it were my product group I would ship it - because the investments have already been made; not sure what was left re: quality assurance or procuring a manufacturer for the pipe - but seems proposition in shipping is better than dropping it - especially in the after market.

The following is a copy of a message I sent to the Goodwrench website to inquire on the LNF upgrade.
Actually the first part is the reply. Below it is my message. Not much info but it's current as of this week.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thank you for visiting the Goodwrench website, Mr.
We appreciate your e-mail regarding the Cobalt upgrade kit. Unfortunately,
it is not yet available. A estimated availability date is not available.
Keep in contact with your local GM Performance Parts Dealer for updates. We
rely on GM Dealership personnel, who are provided with the latest
information on parts through the Parts Assistance Centers (ParTech). This
center are for dealer use only.
Be aware that not all GM Dealers are authorized GM Performance Parts
Dealers.
To locate a GM Performance Parts Dealer in your area, please visit
www.gmperformanceparts.com.
For assistance in the future, please visit our website again.
Thank you for your inquiry.
Regards,
Goodwrench Internet Response Team

Comments: Hi,
The notice of the demise of GM'S High Performance Vehicle Operations is
circulating through the on line forums like wild fire. Very disheartening
news for all the loyal GM performance enthusiasts all over the country. And
for GM also I'm sure. We all wish GM all the best and hope they get past
this bump in the road real quick and get back to work developing the cars
and parts we all want.
My other reason for writing is to enquire on the status of the 08/09 Cobalt
SS version of the GM "LNF" engine "upgrade" kit that was supposed to be
released around the first quarter of this year. This is the kit that is
already being sold for the other GM cars using the "LNF" engine. Pontiac
Solstice, Sky Redline and Chevy HHR SS. We understand there was one part of
this application still being developed, rumored to be a new air intake of
some sort necessry for the kit to be installed on the Cobalt SS. My
question is, in light of the news received yesterday on the CobaltSS forum
online, will this performance upgrade kit fall victim to this latest round
of bad news from GM? Or should the anxious owners of the Cobalt SS remain
hopeful and patient for this long awaited piece of performance "candy"? We
all hope for the latter. Any news would be appreciated and I will help get
any word out to all the others waiting so patiently.
Good luck and God bless. And thank you for any news,
