Short Bus LNF now into the 11's

To be clear, your saying the G85 LSD option was not available for the F23 Getrag 5 speed manual transmission in 08 and forward.
What I posted was they were available as in you could get them with the G85 option. I'm not sure if there is an off the shelf part number with the option added to the F23 if that's what your asking.

Were discussing 2 different things. There does not have to be a part number. There are thousands of parts that cannot be purchased the way they were delivered on the car at production time. As an example, find a front bumper cover available from GM in every color option that the car could have been ordered in.
That's why there were Regular Production Option (RPO) codes..... Their options, not base build parts.
As I said above, the F23 and F35 were both available with the LSD option.

The transmissions are not assembled at the factory with the vehicles. They are made by getrag and shipped to GM for installation. There would be a part number for the transmission with that option just as there are two different part numbers for LSD and non-LSD f35 transmissions. If you cant give a part number, then tell me which vehicle came with a factory installed LSD f23?

You are twisting this completely out of context... Why?
For the third time... All I said was: The F23 and F35 were both available with the LSD option.
If that is false... correct me but don't ask me to find you an after production part number for something.

This, I'd love to see a confirmation of what production vehicles came with a F23 with LSD. You can certainly source aftermarket LSDs for the F23, but what car did GM put a LSD in a F23.

He's stating that if an LSD was an option there would be a different part number for the transmission with LSD, as it is with the F35. So you're claiming they came from the factory with the LSD option, everyone is asking what model came with an F23 transmission with an LSD or what part number GM has for an F23 with an LSD.

What I hear you saying is there was no ID on the car designating if the F23 Getrag 5 speeds has an LSD option in it. I also hear you saying no one here knows of a GM part number for the F23 Getrag 5 speed with the LSD option in it. Is that correct?

Your statement is making it sound like there were not any.

So you're saying GM spent extra money on a transmission with a LSD and didn't charge the customers more for it? If they put an LSD in it or bought an LSD transmission you best believe they'll be getting their cut and not just being like Oprah giving out LSDs without charging. If they charge for it then there is a special part number or association with a RPO code for warranty service. Otherwise the customer would not be getting the proper parts on a warranty claim.

You already know the answer for something your asking for. There is not a way to ID a car with a Getrag F23 with LSD in it... This is nothing new to the GM world.
That doesn't have anything to do with what I said so continue to twist this thread out of shape if you want because it is you that started it and I come to you for advice.
You could have ordered a new Cobalt SS Turbo with the F23 in it and purchased the LSD option. That doesn't mean GM labeled the car anywhere showing that. You would need the line sheet and when was the last time you found a line sheet since we went to computer monitors at the factory?

Srly? Because I'm asking for some actual proof other than you saying you can order it and I'm a GM field service engineer?
No you can't. It's not the 70s anymore you can't change every little option, you have certain options you can change. But you CANNOT get an LNF engine with a F23 transmission from GM, end of story. Now you can stop "trolling" with these claims of a F23 with an LSD being a random option GM just decided randomly to add without any indication as to it being installed. Provide proof or stop saying it was possible.

I added to my last post why GM stopped supplying this. Believe it or not. It is public record.
