Of course. Always do your 3 S's before you go. All that extra dirt and hair adds up. Lol

I've never been much for this approach. I've always been one to want to see what my car can do the way I drive it everyday. When I go to the track I go with the car loaded down like it is everyday. Not that I have a lot in it but I don't take anything out. Hell there are usually even drinks in the cup holders still. I usually have a 1/2 tank of gas too. I don't want to tell somebody my best was after I gutted the car. I'd rather say my best time was achieved the way I drive it everyday.

I think this boils down to not people trying to have the fastest car by reducing weight...but maybe that taking all the weight out can make a drag day or especially a road course day be just that much more fun. Having your car feel a little more nimble or quicker is always smile enducing. I love putting a new mod on my car and feeling the difference...I think this is what they might be getting at. I for one would never go to these lengths to reduce weight for my DD car.... Okay....maybe for a full race day at a track...just once..... be fun! Besides that no thanks.

Good job I applaud your efforts. Great info for people who want to remove weight for competitive racing.
