Exclamation **Interest Check!** Shift knob adapters for OEM SS Shifters

Hey Cobalt SS community!

Were looking to see how many of you would be interested in being able to swap out your OEM Shift Knob for an aftermarket one (like ours!) on your OEM SS Shifters? We have come up with a design already and were just waiting for your feedback to pull the trigger!

Answer in the poll and/or comment below!

Thanks!

Long overdue. I would buy one if I didn't plan on buying your shifter soon. I would personally like too see an option for aftermarket knobs (like blox etc) to work with your shifter and the reverse lock. Not even sure if that is possible though

The main problem with other aftermarket knobs will always lie in the fact that us Cobalt owners have the reverse lockout. Whatever aftermarket knob you get has to have a large enough "cavity" to compensate for the reverse lockout sliding in and out of the knob itself. If that makes sense

Yes other shift knobs will fit our shifter as long as they are RLO compatible!

i would definitely be interested.... i would love to get a different knob without having to replace the entire shifter itself....

Do the current knobs that you guys offer not have the ability to be used already to support the reverse lock? As you said... the knb basically needs to be hollow for the thing to slide into it...

i just removed the lockout, bought cheapo shift knob and new boot because mine was torn. now im waiting to put on my sparco globe r shift knob. also, i have never accidently went from 5th to reverse... reverse is wayyyy to the right of 5th.. but, if you arent use to it 5th can be a bitch to find sometimes.. now its no problem for me.

They can be taken off fairly easy in my opinion, the tougher part is removing the stock knob without damaging it. But it CAN be done with a little patience!

I can attest to that being the most difficult part. I completely destroyed the stock knob when I went to a B&M. Now I have a knob that rotates because it doesn't have a real stop point, just a rubber stopper.
